Datuk Dr. Mohmed Misbun Dato' Haji Mohd Sidek is a former Malaysian badminton player. He is the eldest of the famous five Sidek brothers.
Miss Universe Malaysia is an annual national beauty pageant and an organization that selects Malaysia's representative to the annual Miss Universe contest. On occasion, when the winner does not qualify, a runner-up is sent.

The Sidek family is a Malaysian family with a significant history within professional badminton. The patriarch of the family was an avid badminton fan, Sidek Abdullah Kamar (1936–2005), who himself was a former player turned senior coach. Tay Peng Hian FRPSL is a Singaporean businessman and philatelist who was appointed to the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists. He is a fellow of the Royal Philatelic Society London. Tay is a specialist in the philately of Burma and the Straits Settlements.

Patricia Augustus of Penang was crowned by the outgoing titleholder, Angela Filmer of Selangor at the end of the event. She then represented Malaysia at the Miss Universe 1965 pageant in Miami, Florida.
Miss Malaysia Universe 1989, the 23rd edition of the Miss Universe Malaysia, was held on 19 March 1989 at the Hyatt Saujana Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. Carmen Swee of Penang was crowned by the outgoing titleholder, Linda Lum of Johor at the end of the event. She then represented Malaysia at the Miss Universe 1989 pageant in Cancun, Mexico.
Miss Malaya 1954, was held on 28 June 1954 at the Capitol Theatre, Singapore. 21 candidates from across Malaya and Singapore and 3 candidates from Sarawak participated in this year's competition. Most of the candidates were nominated by various organisations such as Qantas Boac, Fortune Advertising Ltd., Robinson and Co. Ltd., Malayan Airways, Shewan Tomes and more but individual entries were also welcomed to compete in the pageant. The prizes of the pageant were a free trip to America, a trip to Hong Kong, and a trip either to Penang or Singapore.
Miss Asia Quest 1968 was the first edition of the Miss Quest Asia pageant before it was renamed to its current title, Miss Asia Pacific International. The event was held on December 8, 1968, at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines.
Miss Malaysia 1963, the first edition of the Miss World Malaysia pageant was held on 23 April 1963, at the Stadium Negara in Kuala Lumpur. 30 candidates from all across Federation, Singapore and Borneo were expected to compete but only 11 candidates were chosen to compete in the grand finale while the remainder will be taking part in a fashion tableau in conjunction of the contest.
Tan Sri Gunn Chit Tuan was a Chief Justice of the High Court of Malaya, serving on the Supreme Court of Malaysia, High Court of Malaysia as well as in the Judicial and Legal Service as Senior Federal Counsel, Assistant Parliamentary Draftsman and President of the Sessions Court and Assistant District Officer in the Malayan Civil Service. He presided over the landmark case Commonwealth of Australia v Midforth (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, which recognized that common law would still be applicalble after the statutory cutoff date of 7 April, 1956. He retired from the court in 1994.
Miss Malaysia 1967, the 4th edition of the Miss Universe Malaysia, was held on 2 July 1967 at the Asrama Perak, Tambun, Ipoh, Perak. Monkam Siprasome of Kedah was crowned by the consort of the Sultan of Perak, Che Puan Negara Raja Muzwin Raja Arif Shah at the end of the event. She then represented Malaysia at the Miss Universe 1967 pageant in Miami, Florida.
The 1976 Sabah state election was held between Monday, 5 April and Saturday, 14 April 1976. This was the third state election to take place, and the first to feature opposition candidates since the first election on 1967, as the second state election on 1971 has all government candidates won uncontested. The state assembly were dissolved on 23 January 1976, and the nomination day was on 18 March 1976.
The 1967 Sabah state election were held between 8 April to 23 April 1967, with nomination day on 8 March 1967. This was the first state election to take place, after Sabah independence from British and subsequently joining Malaysia in 1963.
