Archita Sahu is an Indian actress who works in Odia language films. She played the leading female role in several hit Odia films like Babu I Love You, Mu Eka Tumara, Chocolate and Akashe Ki Ranga Lagila. She is also a successful model. She was the first runner up in Pond's Femina Miss India Kolkata in 2013 and won Lakme Absolute Femina Miss Eyeconic Eyes. She also won Miss Talented and Miss Stylish Hair titles.

The first ever Sambalpuri movie released was Bhukha or Bhuka. It was released in the year 1989 and was directed by Sabyasachi Mohapatra. It was also the first film from Odisha to get an International Jury Award at the Gijon International Film Festival. The second film in Sambalpuri language is Ulugulan (Revolution), which was released in 2008, directed by Mahmood Hussain and produced by Purnabasi Sahu. Its story is set in the first half of the 18th century and depicts the tyrannical rule of the Nagpur rulers.

Sabyasachi Mohapatra is an Indian film director, writer, and producer in Odia cinema. He owns a production house named Mohapatra Movie Magic.

The Odisha State Film Awards have been conferred by the Department of Culture of the Government of Odisha, India.

Upendra Kumar Indian music composer

Upendra Kumar was an Indian composer who predominantly worked in Kannada and Odia films. He was known for his strong association with Rajkumar and his family and scored some of his career best compositions for the films featuring Rajkumar and his sons. He had scored for 210 films including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Tulu films.

Manmohan Mahapatra was an Odia filmmaker, director, producer, and writer. He won eight consecutive national film awards for his films Nishita Swapna, Majhi Pahacha, Tired Afternoon, Neeraba Jhada, Seeta Raati, and Bhinna Samaya, among others.

Sabyasachi Mishra Indian film actor (born 1985)

Sabyasachi Mishra is an Indian film actor known for his work in Odia Cinema and Telugu cinema. He has also worked in Bengali Cinema. He is referred to as "Superstar of Ollywood". Pagala Premi was his first movie, for which he earned an Odisha State Film Awards for Best Actor. Sabyasachi got his second state award for Emiti Bi Prema Hue. He won the Filmfare Awards East as best actor for Mu Eka Tumara in 2013. As of 2020, he has completed two Telugu movies and 36 Odia movies. His first two Telugu movies are Neerajanam and Sita Ramula Kalyanam Chuthamu Raarandi. His first Bengali movie is Raktomukhi Neela.

Haata Dhari Chalutha is a 2013 Oriya romantic movie directed by Himansu Parija. It was produced by Anubhav Mohanty & Anuprash Mohanty. The film stars with Anubhav Mohanty & Barsha Priyadarshini in lead roles. The music was given by Prem Anand. The film released on 14 June 2013. The film was a remake of Telugu film Solo.

Filmfare Awards Bangla is the Bengali segment of the annual Filmfare Awards, presented by The Times Group to honour the artistic and cinematic excellence in Bengali. The first installment of the awards were held for Bengali, Assamese and Odia films in a ceremony on 29 March 2014. The award ceremony was discontinued for 2015 and 2016, then again continued from 2017 and now only given to Bengali Film Industry.

Tu Mo Love Story is an Indian Odia-language drama feature film directed by Tapas Saragharia produced by Deepak Kumar Mishra for Tarang Cine Productions, and DK Movies. Starring Swaraj Barik and Bhumika Dash, and with a screenplay by Tapas Saragharia, it was released on 7 April 2017.

<i>Sister Sridevi</i> 2017 film by Ashok Pati

Sister Sridevi is a 2017 Indian Odia-language romance comedy-drama film produced by Tarang Cine Productions. Babushan and Sivani are in the lead roles with Mihir Das and Aparajita Mohanty are in supporting role. The movie is a remake of 2016 Tamil movie Remo.

4 Idiots is an Odia language comedy feature film released on 12 June 2018. The film is directed by Basanta Sahoo and Produced by Akshay Parija Productions & Prakash Films Productions.The music is composed by Prem Anand.
