Delhi Technological University (DTU), formerly Delhi College of Engineering (DCE) is a state university in Rohini, Delhi, India. It was established in 1941 as Delhi Polytechnic. In 1952, it started giving degrees after being affiliated with the Faculty of Technology, University of Delhi. The institute has been under the Government of Delhi since 1963 and was affiliated with the Faculty of Technology, University of Delhi from 1952 to 2009. In 2009, the college was given university status, thus changing its name to Delhi Technological University.

Bhagwan Mahaveer Institute of Engineering & Technology is an engineering college located at Raipur-Fazilpur Road, Sonepat, Haryana, India. The institute was established in 1999. It is one of the oldest in the region. It is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi and is approved by the AICTE. It offers degrees including B.Tech., M.B.A. and B.B.A. The institute has separate hostels for boys and girls on campus, and provides bus facility from all major routes of Delhi. It also has an alumni network of around 7000 students working round the globe in major engineering and management organizations. The institute is a 'Jain Minority Institute'.

It was founded as the Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology in 1998. In May 2013 it gained autonomy and became the first women's technical university in India established by Govt. of Delhi. The university offers BBA and BTech, MTech, and PhD programs in four branches of engineering i.e. in the field of Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical and Automation Engineering and Information Technology. The university also offers 5 years program in Bachelors of Architecture (B.Arch.) and a 2-year post graduate program in M. Plan.

University School of Information, Communication and Technology is a constituent institute of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University located in Delhi, India.

Education is based on three-tier model which includes primary schools, followed by secondary and higher-secondary schools and tertiary education at universities or other higher education institutions. The Education Department of the Government of Delhi is a premier body which looks into educational affairs. The RTE Act right to education states that children from the age of 6 to 14 have to compulsorily be educated. 25% of the seats in all private schools are also reserved for the under-privileged children. Tertiary education is administrated by the Directorate of Higher Education.
