Delhi is a vast city and a union territory, and is home to a population of more than 16 million people. It is a microcosm of India and its residents belong to varied ethnic, religious and linguistic groups. As the second-largest city, and the capital of the nation, its 11 revenue or administrative districts comprise multiple neighbourhoods. The large expanse of the city comprises residential districts that range from poor to affluent, and small and large commercial districts, across its municipal extent.

This is a list of major neighbourhoods in the city and only pertains to the National Capital Territory of Delhi. It is not complete, and outlines the various neighbourhoods based on the different districts of the metropolis.

Pitampura is a residential area in North West Delhi district of Delhi, India. It is located adjacent to Rohini. It is a planned neighbourhood developed by the Delhi Development Authority in the 1980s and Pitampura TV Tower, was built in 1988. Dilli Haat Pitampura is also situated near the TV tower. The Mudrika Seva is one of the most popular bus routes in Delhi, India. It was started by the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) in May 1974, and is now operated by both the Corporation and DIMTS' cluster buses. The service runs on Delhi's inner ring road, with major stops at AIIMS, Lajpat Nagar, Sarai Kale Khan, ITO, Delhi Gate, Kashmere Gate, DU North Campus, Model Town, Azadpur market, Shalimar Bagh, Punjabi Bagh, Britannia Factory, Rajouri Garden, Naraina, and DU South Campus.

Ramakrishna Puram popularly known as R.K. Puram, is a residential colony in Delhi. Named after the saint Sri Ramakrishna, it houses many high-profile corporate houses.

The Inner Ring Road refers to one of the two main ring roads, the main inner one and an outer one in Delhi, India. The two ring roads have a combined length of 87 km (54 mi). There are two less significant Ring Roads in Delhi apart from the above two, namely the Rural Ring Road, that runs across the rural areas on the fringe of North West Delhi and West Delhi Ring Road, limited only to the West Delhi region.

Munirka is now an urban village in South Delhi, located near Jawaharlal Nehru University and Indian Institute of Technology Delhi campuses. Originally it was a village of Mudgal,Tokas, Rathi Gotra. Munirka villager's majority land was acquired by the central government on which now exists RK Puram, JNU and parts of Vasant Kunj. Its neighborhood consists of the Jawaharlal Nehru University campus on the south, Vasant vihar on the northwest, R.K. Puram on the northern side and the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi campus and Ber Sarai on south-eastern front. The outer ring road forms the north to the east boundary of this and also making it accessible. This is near flyover.

It is bounded by the Yamuna River on the west, North East Delhi to the north, Ghaziabad District of Uttar Pradesh state to the east, and Gautam Buddha Nagar District of Uttar Pradesh to the south. Malviya Nagar is a residential locality in South Delhi with property prices over 17,000 per sqft. Situated between Saket and Hauz Khas and close to IIT Delhi, its namesake is the freedom fighter Madan Mohan Malviya.

Keshav Puram is a locality in the northwest district of Delhi, India. It was first developed by the Delhi Development Authority. The area has a lot of parks and the pollution levels are low. The number of people living there is also low.

Rajkiya Pratibha Vikas Vidyalayas, popularly known as RPVV or Pratibha) renamed as Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Schools Of Specialized Excellence (DBRA-SOSE) are a school system run by the Directorate of Education, Government of Delhi in Delhi, India. The member schools are in Raj Niwas Marg, Surajmal Vihar, Civil Lines, Yamuna Vihar,Kishanganj, Lajpat Nagar, Shalimar Bagh, Hari Nagar, Rohini, Paschim Vihar, Vasant Kunj, Lodhi Road, Link Road, Dwarka in sector 5, 10 and 19, Gandhi Nagar, Rohini sector 21, Gautampuri, INA Colony,I.P. Extension,Jahangirpuri,Narela and Nand Nagri.

Gulmohar Park is a neighbourhood in South Delhi. This park lies between Hauz Khas and Gautam Nagar and is named after the red-flowered Gulmohar trees growing inside. The nearby residential colony is known as Gulmohar Park Journalists' Colony or simply Gulmohar Park for short, and was established by a group of journalists in the 1970s and is today home to business people, senior lawyers and cine star Amitabh Bachchan's Delhi residence.

The Hauz Khas metro station is an interchange station between the Yellow Line and the Magenta Line of the Delhi Metro. It serves Hauz Khas Enclave, Sarvapriya Vihar, Vijay Mandal Enclave, RBI colony, Mayfair Gardens and the IIT Delhi. The entrance to the station is located on Outer Ring Road, to the east of Aurobindo Marg and to the west of Khelgaon Marg.

Kishangarh is an Urban village. The Village is located near Vasant Kunj in South West Delhi district of Delhi, India, on the hills of Aravali, between Mehrauli and Vasant Kunj. One extreme of Kishangarh is around 4 km from Qutub Minar in historic Mehrauli area. The other extreme is approximately 7.5 km from the Indira Gandhi International Airport. Munirka is about 5 km, where the Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, connecting the main Vasant Kunj Marg with the Outer Ring Road forms its western boundary.
