Viceland was a Canadian pay television channel. It was owned by Vice Network Canada, Inc., which was owned by Rogers Media with minority ownership by Vice Media. It was a Canadian version of Viceland, broadcasting lifestyle-oriented documentary and reality series aimed towards a young adult demographic.
Viceland, and Vice on TV in the United States and United Kingdom, are brands used for television channels owned and programmed by Vice Media. Viceland launched on February 29, 2016 with two branded cable channels; the American version is a joint venture majority-owned by A&E Networks, while the now defunct Canadian version operated as a Category A-licensed specialty channel majority-owned by Rogers Media.
Vice is a documentary TV series created and hosted by Shane Smith of Vice magazine. Produced by Bill Maher, it uses CNN journalist Fareed Zakaria as a consultant, and covers topics using an immersionist style of documentary filmmaking. It premiered on April 5, 2013, on HBO. The show's second season aired in 2014 and won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Informational Series or Special.
Tokyo Ghoul is a Japanese dark fantasy manga series written and illustrated by Sui Ishida. It was serialized in Shueisha's seinen manga magazine Weekly Young Jump between September 2011 and September 2014, and was collected in fourteen tankōbon volumes. A prequel, titled Tokyo Ghoul [Jack], ran online on Jump Live in 2013 and was collected in a single tankōbon volume. A sequel, titled Tokyo Ghoul:re, was serialized in Weekly Young Jump between October 2014 and July 2018, and was collected in sixteen tankōbon volumes.
Vice Media Group LLC is an American-Canadian digital media and broadcasting company. Developing from Vice magazine, originally based in Montreal and co-founded by Suroosh Alvi, Shane Smith, and Gavin McInnes, Vice expanded primarily into youth and young adult–focused digital media. This included online content verticals and related web series, the news division Vice News, a film production studio, and a record label among other properties. In 2015, Vice Media was called "[arguably] a poster child for new-media success—especially when it comes to attracting a valuable millennial audience." Vice re-located to New York City in 2001.
Joel Armogasto Martinez, professionally known as The Kid Mero, is a Dominican-American writer, comedian, TV personality, voice actor, YouTube personality, music blogger and Twitter personality. He rose to prominence alongside fellow Bronx native Desus Nice with their Complex TV 46-episode podcast Desus vs. Mero, which first premiered on December 18, 2013. As of season 5, he was a cast member of Guy Code with Desus Nice. He was the co-host of Viceland's Desus & Mero talk show alongside Desus until June 2018, and currently co-hosts Desus & Mero which premiered on February 21, 2019 on Showtime.
SBS Viceland is an Australian free-to-air television channel owned by the Special Broadcasting Service (SBS). It began as SBS TWO on 1 June 2009, and was branded as SBS 2 between 2013 and 2016. On 8 April 2017, SBS Viceland began simulcasting in high definition. On 17 June 2019, the standard definition broadcast was closed and replaced by SBS World Movies, leaving SBS Viceland as a high definition-only channel.
Matador Content is an American production company founded in 2013 by Jay Peterson and Todd Lubin. The company produces feature films, unscripted television, scripted television and digital programming. Some of Matador's television series include the AMC series Geeking Out, the GSN series Hellevator, the A&E series Epic Ink, Cement Heads, and Country Bucks, the Lifetime series Project Runway: Fashion Startup, the History series Great Minds with Dan Harmon, the Syfy series Cosplay Melee, and the Discovery Channel series The Impossible Row. Matador's scripted programming includes the Emmy Award winning Netflix Original series The Who Was? Show, and Viceland's first scripted series What Would Diplo Do? starring James Van Der Beek.
Vice News Tonight is an American news program currently broadcast on Vice on TV and originally broadcast on HBO as the channel's first-ever daily series, premiering October 2016. HBO cancelled the series after three seasons, ending September 2019. The program was relaunched in 2020 on the Vice on TV network.
Vice on TV is an American basic cable channel based on the digital media company and print magazine of the same name, owned by a joint venture majority-owned by A&E Networks. Known as Viceland until December 2, 2019, it is a part of the Viceland family of television channels worldwide. The channel launched on February 29, 2016, replacing H2 on most multichannel television providers in the United States.

Slutever is an American television series broadcast by Viceland, starting in January 2018. The show is inspired by the blog and book of the same name by author Karley Sciortino, and a webseries, called Slutever for Vice, that was hosted on Sciortino's Slutever blog. In April 2018, Viceland ordered a second season of the show, which premiered in February 2019. As of March 31, 2019 two seasons and 18 episodes have aired.
Karley Sciortino is an American writer, television host, and producer. She is the founder of Slutever, a website that focuses on sex and sexuality, and executive producer and host of the Viceland documentary series of the same name. She also writes Vogue's online sex and relationships column, Breathless.
