MTV Brasil programming is largely targeted to teenagers and young adults, based mostly on comedy and music shows, but also deals with fashion, health, politics and the environment.

Contents

The music videos and live shows aired on MTV Brasil focus on the international rock and pop scenes and on Brazilian pop rock and independent rock bands.

Beavis and Butt-Head is an American adult animated sitcom created by Mike Judge. The series follows Beavis and Butt-Head, both voiced by Judge, a pair of teenage slackers characterized by their apathy, lack of intelligence, lowbrow humor, and love for hard rock and heavy metal. The original series juxtaposes slice-of-life short subjects—in which the teens embark on low-minded misadventures in their Texas town—with the pair watching and commenting on music videos.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Sistema Brasileiro de Televisão</span> Brazilian commercial television network

The Sistema Brasileiro de Televisão is a Brazilian free-to-air television network founded on Wednesday, 19 August 1981, by the businessman and television personality Silvio Santos. The company was established after a public tender by the Brazilian Federal Government to form two new networks, created from revoked concessions of the defunct Tupi and Excelsior networks. The SBT was founded on the same day that the concession agreement was signed, and that the act was broadcast live by the network, so that this was his first program aired. Before acquiring the concessions of the four stations that were to form the SBT, Grupo Silvio Santos had since 1976 the concession of Rio de Janeiro's channel 11, known as TVS Rio de Janeiro, which was a fundamental step to give life to the SBT.

MTV Brasil was a Brazilian over-the-air television network owned by Grupo Abril focused on the youth and entertainment. The network was launched on 20 October 1990, as the first specialty television network to broadcast over-the-air, becoming the local version of MTV. It was the third MTV iteration launched in the world, and the first to broadcast via terrestrial television.

Currently, Mion presents the show Caldeirão com Mion, which is shown on Saturday afternoons on TV Globo.

Thiago André Barbosa better known as Thiaguinho, is a pagode singer, composer and presenter. He first gained notoriety for participating in the talent show Fama in 2002 and became famous for being a member of the musical group Exaltasamba from 2003 to 2012. In 2012, he released his first solo album and live album, "Ousadia & Alegria", selling more than 80,000 copies and earning him a Latin Grammy nomination in the Best Samba/Pagode Album category. He released his second solo album, "Outro Dia, Outra História", in 2014 which sold 40,000 copies and earned a gold record certificate. His third album, "Hey, Mundo!" was released in 2015, and was a commercial success, selling more than 160,000 copies and going double platinum. His second live video recording, "VamoQVamo" was released in 2016. In the same year, he released another album called "Tardezinha". His "Só Vem" album was released in 2017 which sold 40,000 copies and earned him another gold record. He released "Tardezinha 2" in 2017, followed by his third live recording called "Vibe" in 2020.

Bianca de Souza Mendes Comparato is a Brazilian actress. She has starred in Como Esquecer in 2010, as well as A Menina sem Qualidades and Somos tão Jovens, both in 2013, the latter for which she won the Grande Prêmio do Cinema Brasileiro as Best Supporting Actress for her role of Carmem Teresa. In 2016, she starred in the Netflix series 3%, gaining international attention and acclaim for her portrayal of the series' character, Michele.

<i>Furo MTV</i> 2009 Brasil TV series or program

Furo MTV was a Brazilian satiric newscast produced and originally broadcast by MTV Brasil from March 2, 2009 to September 26, 2013. The program was created by the writer Lilian Amarante and was originally hosted by the comedians Dani Calabresa and Bento Ribeiro. With the Dani Calabresa departure from MTV in 2012, it was eventually replaced with the entry of Bruno Sutter, Daniel Furlan and Paulinho Serra in the show cast.

The 2013–14 network television schedule for the five major Brazilian Portuguese commercial broadcast networks in Brazil covers primetime hours from March 2013 to February 2014.

Luciana by Night is a Brazilian weekly late-night talk show hosted by Luciana Gimenez and broadcast by RedeTV! since November 27, 2012.

<i>The Noite com Danilo Gentili</i> Brazilian late-night talk show

The Noite com Danilo Gentili is a Brazilian television program hosted by the stand-up comedian Danilo Gentili, which is currently produced and broadcast by SBT. Gentili previously hosted Agora É Tarde for about three years on Band network. Danilo's departure from Band and move to SBT was due to conflicts with the producer of his former show, Eyeworks, and with restrictions that the networks wanted to place on the show.

<i>Tá no Ar</i> Television series

Tá no Ar: a TV na TV was a Brazilian sitcom created by Marcelo Adnet, Marcius Melhem and Maurício Farias for Rede Globo. The series satirizes some Brazilian television programs, including the other stations. The series was written by Adnet and Melhem, with Farias directing. Since its debut, Tá no Ar was well received by critics and having great repercussion on internet

Canibália was a concert tour by the Brazilian singer Daniela Mercury, beginning on August 7, on Citibank Hall, São Paulo. Eight days after, where she made another concert at Citibank Hall, she went to Rio de Janeiro and then took the tour to Portugal, where she performed in five cities, right after, back to the Latin American, European and North American. The tour counts with the participation of dancers, who danced the choreographies developed by Jorge Silva, recognized choreographer from Bahia. Gringo Cardia, the developer of the five covers of the album Canibália, was responsible for the elaboration of the scenario of the tour. On March 10, 2011, Mercury began her new tour Canibália: Ritmos do Brasil Tour to promote her new album of de same name recorded live in Copacabana Beach, in Rio de Janeiro.

Paulo Cezar Goulart Siqueira, better known as PC Siqueira, was a Brazilian YouTuber, presenter, and comic book colourist. He had more than 2 million subscribers on his YouTube account. He made a lot of content for the internet, as well as programs on TV via MTV Brasil, PlayTV and TBS Brasil.

Leandro Hassum Moreira is a Brazilian actor, comedian, writer, and film producer. He is well known for having played Jorginho in the TV Show humorous Zorra Total and Os Caras de Pau. In 2012, he starred in the franchise Até que a Sorte nos Separe that reached 320,000 box office in its first weekend of exhibition and became the best opening of a national film of that year gaining two more sequels.
