Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry was an Indian poet and lyricist known for his works in Telugu cinema and Telugu theatre. He acquired the stage name Sirivennela after writing the lyrics for the 1986 film of same name. Sastry has garnered several awards including eleven Nandi Awards and six Filmfare Awards South for his work the most by any other south Indian lyricist. He had penned lyrics for over 3,000 songs until 2020. In 2019, he was awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award in India, for his contributions to the field of arts and aesthetics.

Suddala Ashok Teja (born Gurram Ashok Teja; 4 April 1954) is an Indian poet and lyricist known for his work in Telugu cinema and Telugu literature. He has written lyrics for over 2200 songs. He won the National Film Award for Best Lyrics for the song "Nenu saitam" from Tagore (2004).

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Chandrabose (lyricist)</span> Lyricist in Telugu cinema

Kanukuntla Subhash Chandrabose is an Indian lyricist and singer who works in Telugu cinema. Chandrabose debuted as a lyricist with the 1995 film Taj Mahal. In a career spanning over 25 years, he has written lyrics for about 3600 songs in over 850 films. Chandrabose won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award for the song "Naatu Naatu" from RRR (2022). He has received one National Award, two Nandi Awards, two Filmfare Awards, and three SIIMA Awards as a lyricist.

Usha is an Indian singer who works predominantly in Telugu. She has sung in Kannada and Tamil also. In a career spanning about 10 years, she has established herself as one of the leading playback singers in the Telugu film industry and has worked with many major music directors.

Kovelamudi Surya Prakash Rao (1914–1996) was an Indian film director, producer, actor and cinematographer known for his works in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi films. In 1977 he won the Filmfare Award for Best Director – Kannada for Ganda Hendthi. In 1995, Rao received the Raghupathi Venkaiah Award for his contributions to Telugu cinema. He is the father of noted Telugu director K. Raghavendra Rao and is the uncle of another noted director K. Bapayya.

Gundu Hanumantha Rao was an Indian actor and comedian who worked in Telugu films, theatre, and television. He first appeared in Jandhyala's film Aha Naa Pellanta in 1987 and gained popularity in comedian roles in S. V. Krishna Reddy's films. He is known for his roles in Rajendrudu Gajendrudu,Mayalodu, Yamaleela, Srivariki Premalekha,Pellaniki Premalekha Priyuraliki Subhalekha (1992), Apparao Driving School, and the TV serial Amrutham. He won three TV Nandi Awards from Andhra Pradesh Government, one of them for Amrutham serial. He was a renowned stage artist before entering into cinema, his first drama being "Ravana Bramha" at the age of 18. He acted in over 600 movies in Telugu and was a popular TV artist.

Chalapathi Rao was an Indian actor and producer known for comedy and villainous roles in Telugu cinema. He acted in different roles in more than 600 films.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Telangana Shakuntala</span> Indian actress (1951–2014)

Telangana Shakuntala was an Indian actress who worked in the Telugu cinema. She was known chiefly for playing comedy and villainous characters in Tollywood. Her performances in movies like Osey Ramulamma, Nuvvu Nenu, Lakshmi, Okkadu and Veede were well received. She also acted on television and in Tamil-language films, where she is known for her role as Sornakka in Dhool. She was well known for her ability to speak in the Telangana and Rayalaseema dialects of the Telugu language and thus majority of her roles in Telugu cinema exhibited this.

Pragathi Mahavadi is Indian film and television actress who has acted predominantly in Telugu cinema and in addition to Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam cinema.

Bandla Ganesh, also known as Ganesh, is an Indian actor and film producer of Telugu cinema. In 2009, he ventured into film production with the film, Anjaneyulu under his production company, Parameswara Art Productions.

Duvvasi Mohan is an Indian actor who is known for acting in comic roles, primarily in Telugu films. He is from Jagtial. He entered Tollywood as a producer, but later turned to acting and appeared in comedy roles in over 350 films.

Yaaradi Nee Mohini is an Indian Tamil language thriller soap opera starring Shreekumar, Nachathira, and Chaitra Reddy. It aired from 24 April 2017 on Zee Tamil and ended on 22 August 2021 by crossing 1200 episodes. The show claimed to be the second-highest budgeted series on South Indian television. and it is the second longest ran serial of Zee Tamil after Sembaruthi.

Rajitha is an Indian actress who works in Telugu films. She has been active since the late 1980s.

Korlam Parvati Vara Prasada Rao, better known by his stage name Vizag Prasad, was a Telugu theatre artist actor known for his negative character artiste roles.

SIIMA Award for Best Lyricist – Telugu is presented by Vibri media group as part of its annual South Indian International Movie Awards, for the best lyrics done by a writer for a Telugu song. The award was first given in 2012 for songs and films released in 2011.

<i>Bigg Boss</i> (Telugu TV series) season 5 Indian reality television game show

Bigg Boss 5 is the season of the Telugu version of the Indian reality television series Bigg Boss based on the Dutch series Big Brother. The show premiered on 5 September 2021 on Star Maa and Disney+ Hotstar with Akkineni Nagarjuna returning as a host for third time.

SIIMA Award for Best Debut Director – Telugu is presented by Vibri media group as part of its annual South Indian International Movie Awards, for best film direction done by an debut director in Telugu films. The award was first given in 2012 for films released in 2011.
