Humayun Ahmed was a Bangladeshi novelist, dramatist, screenwriter, filmmaker, songwriter, scholar, and academic. His breakthrough was his debut novel Nondito Noroke published in 1972. He wrote over 200 fiction and non-fiction books. He was one of the most popular authors and filmmakers in post-independence Bangladesh. Pakistani English newspaper Dawn referred to him as the cultural legend of Bangladesh.

RTV is a Bangladeshi Bengali-language satellite and cable television channel owned by Bengal Media Corporation. It is headquartered in the BSEC Building in Kawran Bazar, Dhaka. RTV began broadcasting on 26 December 2005 as a sister channel of NTV, and primarily airs entertainment and news programming. It is one of Bangladesh's most popular television channels, according to TRP reports.

Ekushey Television, also known by its acronym ETV, is a Bangladeshi Bengali-language privately owned satellite and cable television channel. It is headquartered in Kawran Bazar, Dhaka, and is Bangladesh's first privately owned television channel to broadcast news and current affairs programming.

Salahuddin Lavlu is a Bangladeshi television film director, actor, and screenwriter. His works generally consist of single episode television dramas and telenovelas. His notable works include Ronger Manush (2004), Vober Hat (2007), Ghor Kutum (2008), Alta Sundori (2009) and Sakin Sarisuri (2009), Har Kipte (2011), Kobuliotnama (2015), The Village Engineer (2016), Shonar Pakhi Rupar Pakhi (2017) and Priyo Din Priyo Raat (2018). Salahuddin Lavlu is the president of the Directors Guild.

The channel is owned by Gazi Group, which is owned by Golam Dastagir Gazi, EX Frude former minister and member of the Bangladesh Awami League party.

Dolly Johur is a Bangladeshi film, television and stage actress. She earned Bangladesh National Film Award for Lifetime Achievement (2021) from the Bangladeshi government. She received Bangladesh National Film Awards 2 times - as the Best Actress and the Best Supporting Actress for her roles in the films Shonkhonil Karagar and Ghani (2006) respectively.

Deepto TV is a Bangladeshi Bengali-language satellite and cable television channel, owned and operated by Kazi Media Limited, a subsidiary of Kazi Farms Group. It officially began broadcasts on 18 November 2015, and within two weeks became the most watched television channel in Bangladesh. Its programming mostly consist of entertainment with emphasis on daily drama series. Deepto also broadcasts foreign programming, mainly Turkish drama series.

Masud Ali Khan was a Bangladeshi television, film and stage actor. He was awarded Ekushey Padak in 2023 by the government of Bangladesh.

Sanjida Preeti is a Dhallywood Bangladeshi actress, model, dancer, make-up artist & set designer etc. She was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Farhan Ahmed Jovan is a Bangladeshi television and film actor and model. He started his acting career by appearing in the TV drama University (2012). He made his film debut on big screen with the film Ostitto (2016).

Abdus Salam is a Bangladeshi businessman and chairman of Ekushey Television (ETV). He took over the channel after former chairman, A. S. Mahmud, left the country in 2002 following the Bangladesh Nationalist Party government closing the channel. He faced persecution under the Awami League government and was forcefully removed from his television channel. He previously served as the managing director of ETV.
