MEGA Channel, also known as MEGA TV or just MEGA, is a television network in Greece, that broadcasts a mix of foreign and Greek programming. It is the first and the oldest private television network in Greece.

Alpha TV is a Greek free-to-air channel, one of the biggest stations in Greece. The station features a mix of Greek and foreign shows with an emphasis on information. The studios are located in Kifissia and Pallini. Alpha TV is owned by Alpha Satellite Television S.A. In Cyprus, private broadcaster Sigma TV used to broadcast a number of Alpha's programs. In the past, public service broadcaster CyBC used to broadcast Alpha TV programs. In 2015, Alpha TV Cyprus was founded, and broadcast the Alpha TV Programs and others of its own. Alpha Cyprus is now one of the highest-rated Cypriot channels.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Nikos Xanthopoulos</span> Greek actor and singer (1934–2023)

Nikos Xanthopoulos was a Greek actor and singer, known for his roles in the 1960s era Greek Drama Cinema. He was also a singer of Greek folk bouzouki, having released many albums and singles. He was known as "the child of the folk" mainly for playing roles depicting men from the lower working classes. He usually portrayed a poor man, hit hard by fate, seeking justice or one struggling against wealthy and evil men. In other cases, he played the role of an immigrant in Germany working hard to provide for his wife and child. Other times he played an unknown poor bouzouki player and singer working his way up to stardom. From the late 1960s until the early 1970s, these roles helped him become a star in Greece during the dictatorship of the Junta.

Aikaterini "Katerina" Stikoudi is a Greek singer, actress, TV host, model, businesswoman, former champion swimmer and beauty pageant titleholder. After first gaining fame in 2001 by finishing fifth in the national swimming championship as PAOK swimming athlete she pursued a career in modeling, television, cinema and theatre. In 2005 she won the title of Miss Hellas 2005, on National Annual Beauty Pageant of Greece, followed by her participation on Miss World 2005 representing Greece.

Haris Alexiou is a Greek singer whose career has spanned over 5 decades. She is one of the most popular singers in Greece. She has worked with important Greek songwriters and composers, has performed at top musical theatres all over the world, and has received several awards. She has recorded over thirty albums and has been featured on albums of other musicians. On 14th March 2010, Alpha TV ranked Alexiou as the first top-certified female artist in Greece in the phonographic era. She is the highest selling Greek female artist and third overall, behind George Dalaras and Yiannis Parios. Eight of her personal albums released between 1977 and 2003 have totaled 1.5 million sales, the only Greek female artist to do so.

<i>Antidoto</i> 1998 studio album by Anna Vissi

Antidoto is the nineteenth studio album by famous Greek singer, Anna Vissi. It was released on 1 April 1998 in Greece and Cyprus and certified platinum in a week, but later reached double-platinum status, selling over 140,000 units. It was the first album in Greek music history to sell 80,000 copies in the first week of its release. The album was also released in international packaging in France, Germany and South Africa.

<i>Me Varka To Tragoudi</i> 1999 live album by Marinella

Me varka… to tragoudi is the name of a live album by popular Greek singer Marinella. The concert was recorded at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus in Athens, on September 18, 1999. It was released on November 20, 1999 in Greece and Cyprus by BMG Greece and it went platinum seven months after its release, selling over 50,000 units.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Ivi Adamou</span> Greek Cypriot singer (born 1993)

Ivi Adamou is a Greek Cypriot singer. She was born and raised in Agia Napa, Cyprus and currently resides in Alexandroupoli, Greece. Adamou rose to recognition in Greece and Cyprus following her participation in the second season of the Greek version of The X Factor, where she was under the mentorship of Giorgos Theofanous. Right after her elimination from the X Factor, Adamou secured a recording contract with Sony Music Greece. She gained further recognition from her participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012, where she represented Cyprus with the song "La La Love".

Ta tragoudia tis Amerikis is a double studio album by popular Greek singers Stelios Kazantzidis and Marinella. It was released in 1991 by MBI in Greece and it contains 28 rare recordings that were recorded by Stelios Kazantzidis and Marinella in 1959 and some of those were released on 7" rpm vinyl records in United States, by NINA Records.

Kazantzidis & Marinella is a self-titled studio album by popular Greek singers Stelios Kazantzidis and Marinella that includes their last common recordings. It was recorded in 1968 and released on 18 January 1969 by PolyGram Records in Greece. Some of these recordings were first released on 45 rpm vinyl records by Philips/Standard in 1968.
