Nepal Television is the state owned television corporation of Nepal. The list of programs run by it are as follows-

Mahendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev was King of Nepal from 13 March 1955 until his death in 1972, which was due to a heart attack, as told in an interview by his personal physician Dr. Mrigendra Raj Pandey. Following the 1960 coup d'état, he established the party-less Panchayat system, which governed the country for 28 years until the introduction of multi-party democracy in 1990. During his reign, Nepal experienced a period of industrial, political and economic change which opened it to the rest of the world for the first time, after the 104-year-long reign of the Rana rulers, who kept the country under an isolationist policy, came to an end in 1951.
The Rai also known as Khambu and Jimee are ethnolinguistic group belonging to the Kirat family and primarily Tibeto-Burman linguistic ethnicity. They mainly reside in the eastern parts of Nepal, the Indian states of Sikkim, West Bengal and in southwestern Bhutan.
Narayan Gopal Gurubacharya, known professionally as Narayan Gopal and N. Gopal was a popular singer and composer of Nepali music. Regarded as one of the most significant cultural icons in Nepal, he is referred to as "Swar Samrat" in Nepal. He also sang in Nepal Bhasa.
Hari Bansha Acharya is a Nepalese actor, comedian, director, singer and writer. He is known for his method acting. He is one half of the comedy duo MaHa Jodi along with fellow comedian Madan Krishna Shrestha. He is known for his performance as Arjun in the 1997 patriotic drama film Balidaan. His performance in the series Madan Bahadur Hari Bahadur as "Hari Bahadur" is well recognized. He also wrote and performed in the film Shatru Gatey.
Nepal Television, shortened to NTV is the Nepali national public state-controlled television broadcaster. It's accessible in four languages. It is the oldest and most watched television channel in Nepal. The news broadcast at 8:00 PM is the channel's most popular show, followed by comedy programmes such as Sakkigoni, Mundre Ko Comedy Club and Meri Bassai.
Tara Devi Shrestha, professionally known as Tara Devi was a Nepalese singer. She is known as the "Nightingale of Nepal", having recorded over 4,000 songs during her lifetime. Much of her music revolved around the themes of patriotism and love.
Bhupatindra Malla was a Malla Dynasty King of the Kingdom of Bhaktapur who reigned from 1696 until his death in 1722. He is the most widely known king of Bhaktapur and is among the most popular of the Malla dynasty. He is popularly known in Bhaktapur as nepaḥ juju, meaning the king of the Newars. His reign was characterized by the construction of numerous palaces and temples with the Nyatapola temple being his most revered contribution. An integral part of the local folklore, Bhupatindra Malla is regarded as a great builder and a lover of arts whose reign is considered the cultural high point of Bhaktapur. In particular, he was a scholar of the Maithili language and composed 26 plays in Maithili throughout his lifetime.
The National Film Awards is the most prominent and prestigious award of Nepali cinema. The first National Film Award was held in 2005, in the presence of His Majesty's King Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah. The event is held at the residence of the president of Nepal and the president gives the awards to the winners in various categories. It is yearly organised by Film Development Board, Nepal.
Deepa Shree Niraula is Nepalese actress, comedian, director and radio personality. Beginning her career with supporting roles in films, she is known for her female role in the Nepali television sitcom Tito Satya. One of the most popular comedian and actresses of Nepalese Cinema, she is also the Highest Grossing film director of Nepalese Cinema. As director, she is known for director the highest grossing franchise of the Nepali film franchise Chhakka Panja and was a permanent guest in the first season of Mundre Ko Comedy Club.
Nepal Idol is a Nepali reality television singing competition that is part of the Idols franchise created and owned by FremantleMedia. Nepal Idol 2017 is the first season of Idol Franchise in Nepal which aired on AP1 TV.
Balidaan (Sacrifice) is a 1997 Nepali historical drama film, directed by Tulsi Ghimire, and written by Modanath Prasrit. It was produced by Shyam Sapkota under the banner of Cinema Nepal. Widely regarded as one of the greatest movie of all time in the history of Nepalese Cinema, The film is set in Panchayat-era Nepal, and depicts a fictionalised version of the contemporary democracy movement. It features Hari Bansha Acharya in the lead role, alongside Anjali Lama, Madan Krishna Shrestha, Shanti Maskey, Keshav Bhattarai, Laxmi Giri and Neer Shah. The film was a critical and commercial success during the time of its release.
Ratna Shumsher Thapa the legendary lyricist of Nepal, began writing as a poet in 1951. His creations such as Aankhako Bhaka Ankhaile, Swargaki Rani, Kunjama Gunjiyo, Bho Bho Nasodha, Madhumas Yo Dilko and Ye Kanchha Thattaima, Bichodko Pida, Sero Fero Mero have contributed making Narayan Gopal‘s singing and music everlasting.
