Television in Hong Kong is primarily in Cantonese and English. It is delivered through analogue and digital terrestrial, cable, IPTV, and the Internet. Satellite TV is not common, although many housing estates have dishes and re-distribute a limited number of free channels through coaxial cables. The dominant broadcaster is TVB, ViuTV and HOY TV.

Commercial broadcasting is the broadcasting of television programs and radio programming by privately owned corporate media, as opposed to state sponsorship, for example. It was the United States' first model of radio during the 1920s, in contrast with the public television model during the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s, which prevailed worldwide, except in the United States, Mexico, and Brazil, until the 1980s.

CNN Newsroom is the main newscast program airing on CNN International, from Atlanta, London, and Hong Kong. The show maintains two different roles: a daily morning show for EMEA and a weekend early breakfast show for Europe and Africa. It airs Mondays to Fridays in 3 parts, 6am to 8am, 8am to 10am and 10am to 11am CET, alongside various timeslots during weekends, which also includes a block from 8am to 12pm CET. It is also simulcast on CNN/U.S. every Monday from 6am to 8am and on weekends from 8am to 10am GMT. In Hong Kong, it is a 30-minute simulcast Mondays to Fridays from 1pm to 1:30pm HKT and Saturdays and Sundays from 12pm to 12:30pm and 5pm to 5:30pm HKT on ViuTVsix.

CNN World News is an international news program that airs on CNN International and CNN International Asia Pacific. It is supplemented by CNN World News Asia and CNN World News Europe. Its main role is to update viewers of the latest news from around the world. It contains a weather update from the CNN World Weather Forecast News. CNN World News can usually air up to three times on weekends, and is known to be bringing the latest on a story.

The channel serves as a free-to-air syndicator for television programmes of Now TV. Its sister station is the English-language channel ViuTVsix. The boy band Mirror became known following the ViuTV's talent show Goodnight Show - King Maker.

ViuTVsix is a free-to-air English language general entertainment television channel in Hong Kong operated by HK Television Entertainment (HKTVE), whose parent company, PCCW, also operates IPTV platform Now TV and media streaming service Viu. The channel offers 17 hours of English programming a day including news and public affairs, lifestyle shows, foreign television series, and documentaries.

<i>ViuTV News</i> Hong Kong TV series or program

ViuTV News is the flagship evening news programme on Hong Kong English language television channel ViuTVsix and is produced by Now News. The programme airs twice every evening; at 7:30 p.m. and later at 11:30 pm with an updated version.

News Stream was a global news program on CNN International aired as a weekday prime time show for Asian audiences. The program was filmed in Hong Kong and anchored by Kristie Lu Stout. From 9PM to 10PM HKT (UTC+8:00), it covered Asia's increasing influence in business and politics to technology and culture. The program was simulcast on ViuTVsix in Hong Kong, but in a half-hour format.

Mirror is a Hong Kong Cantopop boy group formed through ViuTV's reality talent show Good Night Show - King Maker in 2018. The group consists of twelve members: Frankie Chan, Alton Wong, Lokman Yeung, Stanley Yau, Anson Kong, Jer Lau, Ian Chan, Anson Lo, Jeremy Lee, Edan Lui, Keung To, and Tiger Yau. They debuted on 3 November 2018 with the single "In a Second" (一秒間).

Edan Lui Cheuk-on, is a Hong Kong singer, actor, presenter, and a member of the Hong Kong boy group MIRROR. Apart from his group activities, Edan made his solo debut in 2021 and has presented various television variety shows such as Be ON Game, and starred in television dramas, most notably Ossan's Love (2021), as well as several feature films, including Chilli Laugh Story and Hong Kong Family.
