As Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) is Hong Kong's largest television station, the television programmes it broadcasts form a major part of popular culture in Hong Kong. TVB programmes have major social and culture effects on the Hong Kong populace, influencing fashion, hairstyles, speech patterns and public attitudes. Its programmes have been and continue to be exported to many Chinese-speaking communities around the world; such as Mainland China, Taiwan, Macau, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Japan, United States, Canada, Australia, South Korea, India and most of Europe (including England), via satellite, video cassettes, VCDs and DVDs and now Internet.

Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) is a television broadcasting company based in Hong Kong. The company operates five free-to-air terrestrial television channels in Hong Kong, with TVB Jade as its main Cantonese language service, and TVB Pearl as its main English service. TVB is headquartered at TVB City at the Tseung Kwan O Industrial Estate.

TVB Jade, or simply Jade, is a Hong Kong Cantonese-language free-to-air television channel owned and operated by Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) as its flagship service, alongside its sister network, the English-language TVB Pearl. Broadcasting started on 19 November 1967. It is headquartered at TVB City at the Tseung Kwan O Industrial Estate in Tseung Kwan O, in the Sai Kung District. Primarily broadcasting entertainment programming, TVB Jade has historically been the most dominant television channel in the region in terms of viewership, with its closest competitor having been the now-defunct ATV Home.

Gu Long, was a Hong Kong-born Taiwanese novelist, screenwriter, film producer and director. A graduate of Cheng Kung Senior High School and Tamkang University, Xiong is best known for writing wuxia novels and serials, which include Juedai Shuangjiao, Xiaoli Feidao Series, Chu Liuxiang Series, Lu Xiaofeng Series and The Eleventh Son. Some of these works have been adapted into films and television series for numerous times. In the 1980s, he started his own film studio, Bao Sian (寶龍), to produce film adaptations of his works.

TVB News, formally known as the News and Information Division (新聞及資訊部), is the newsgathering arm of Hong Kong's Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB), responsible for different news programme in TVB Jade, Pearl and Finance & Information Channel, also the News Channel. Its slogan is "TVB News Cares". TVB News was ranked last in credibility among TV and radio channels in Hong Kong in a 2019 CUHK survey.

TVB J2 is a Hong Kong Cantonese-language high-definition commercial free-to-air digital terrestrial television youth teenager channel owned by Television Broadcasts Limited a commercial television station that first opened broadcasting on 19 November 1967. Their new and free digital terrestrial television network in Hong Kong was officially launched on 30 June 2008 officially similar and related to Singapore's Mediacorp Channel U.

Fong She-mei is a writer, publisher and journalist in Hong Kong. She was an educator, a journalist and editor for various newspapers and magazines before starting her career as a writer. She received her master’s degree from Lancaster University in 1991. Her works had received numerous awards.
