Funimation was an American subscription video on-demand over-the-top streaming service. Launched in 2016, the service was one of the leading distributors of anime and other foreign entertainment properties in North America. It streamed popular series, such as Dragon Ball, One Piece, YuYu Hakusho, My Hero Academia, Attack on Titan, Fairy Tail, Black Clover, Fruits Basket, Assassination Classroom and Tokyo Ghoul among many others. The service and its parent company were acquired by Sony, who ran the service through Sony Pictures Entertainment from 2017 to 2019 and then through SPE and Sony Music Entertainment Japan's Aniplex from 2019 to its closure in 2024. In 2021, Sony acquired Crunchyroll.
Everybody Hates Chris is an American semi-autobiographical sitcom created by Chris Rock and Ali LeRoi that originally aired on UPN from September 22, 2005 to May 11, 2006, then on The CW from October 1, 2006 to May 8, 2009. The series premiered on digital network Crackle on July 19, 2012, and has since run on Netflix. As of May 2015, it had been streamed nearly 100 million times. The series moved to Netflix in 2018 for the debut of its tenth season. Its eleventh season premiered on July 19, 2019. Seinfeld has since indicated that he may be done working on the series.
Chosen is an American action-thriller television series from Ben Ketai and Ryan Lewis, airing via online streaming video service Crackle. Each season consisted of six episodes released simultaneously: season one was released on January 17, 2013; season two was released on December 13 that same year; the third and final season was released on April 15, 2014. Two weeks later, Crackle announced it had renewed the series for a fourth season, but no other information was released until series star Milo Ventimiglia tweeted, on June 20, 2016, that the fourth season would not be moving forward.
