Magalloway Plantation was a plantation in Oxford County, Maine, United States, which de-organized in 2021. The population was 45 at the 2020 census. [1] Part of the Umbagog National Wildlife Refuge is located at its southwestern corner.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the plantation has a total area of 54.2 square miles (140 km2), of which 48.4 square miles (125 km2) is land and 5.8 square miles (15 km2) (10.67%) is water. The plantation is located along the New Hampshire border, in Maine's western mountain region. Various bodies of water are located in the plantation, including Sturtevant Pond, a segment of the Magalloway River, and a portion of Umbagog Lake. [2]
