Pichaqani (Aymara pichaqa, phichaqa, piqacha a big needle, [2] -ni a suffix to indicate ownership, "the one with a big needle", also spelled Pichacani) is a 4,208-metre-high (13,806 ft) mountain in the Bolivian Andes. It is situated in the La Paz Department, Loayza Province, Sapahaqui Municipality. [1] [3]

Aymara language native language in South America

Aymara is an Aymaran language spoken by the Aymara people of the Andes. It is one of only a handful of Native American languages with over one million speakers. Aymara, along with Spanish, is one of the official languages of Bolivia and parts of Peru. It is also spoken, to a much lesser extent, by some communities in northern Chile, where it is a recognized minority language.

It is situated at the Jalsuri River, a right affluent of the Achuta River. The village of Pukara (Pucara) lies at its feet, south-east of it.
