The Metro Manila leg of the PiliPinas Debates 2016 is the first vice presidential televised debate of the 2016 Philippine elections and the only VP debate under the PiliPinas Debates series, held at the Quadricentennial Pavilion at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila on April 10, 2016. It was organized by COMELEC and KBP with CNN Philippines, and Business Mirror as media partners. The debate was moderated by CNN Philippines chief correspondent Pia Hontiveros and senior anchor Pinky Webb. The coverage also included a pre-debate show and post-debate analysis anchored by Amelyn Veloso with panelists Atty. Karen Jimeno, Nicole Curato and Dindo Manhit. [1]

The debate proper took around 128 minutes and there were 7 commercial breaks during the program which had a combined duration of 42 minutes. [2]

PiliPinas Debates 2016 is a debate series administered by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) with the assistance of the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas in preparation for the May 9, 2016, general election. In January 2016, the Commission on Elections confirmed that they would hold three presidential debates and one vice presidential debate. This will be the first time that the COMELEC will host debates since the 1992 elections, with ABC-5 as the host network fresh from the launch of the recently restored broadcast network on February 21 of the same year, after a 20-year rest due to Martial Law. The debates were branded as PiliPinas Debates 2016. The first word is a portmanteau of Pili, Filipino for "choose" and Pinas, shortcut for the Philippines in Filipino.

The Mindanao leg of PiliPinas Debates 2016 was held on February 21, 2016, and hosted at the Mini-Theater Building of the Capitol University in Cagayan de Oro, Philippines. It was hosted by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) with the assistance of KBP, GMA Network and the Philippine Daily Inquirer.

Harapan ng Bise also known as Harapan ng Bise: The ABS-CBN Vice Presidential Debate was a televised debate organized and broadcast by ABS-CBN on April 17, 2016. The debate is not part of the Commission on Elections-organized PiliPinas Debates 2016. The debate was moderated by ABS-CBN News journalists Alvin Elchico and Lynda Jumilla, with Gretchen Ho as the social media correspondent. CNN Philippines News Night was the flagship national network news program of CNN Philippines, anchored by its chief correspondent Pia Hontiveros for its entire seven-year run on air. The hour-long newscast, broadcast in English from 2017 to 2022 and after that in Filipino, aired at 6 p.m. on weekdays from March 27, 2017, to January 26, 2024. It was among the programs produced by CNN Philippines upon its closure in January 2024.

The Final Word with Rico Hizon was CNN Philippines' flagship late-night news program. The show first aired on April 20, 2020, as a replacement to the network's 9pm edition of Newsroom. It was replaced by Frontline Tonight on RPTV in its timeslot since February 1, 2024.

The Source with Pinky Webb was a current affairs and talk show program of CNN Philippines. It premiered on September 26, 2016, and airs on weekdays at 9:00 a.m. PST. Anchored by CNN Philippines' Senior Anchor and Correspondent, Pinky Webb, who is also an anchor of the network's flagship Filipino language noontime newscast, CNN Philippines Balitaan.

PiliPinas Debates 2022: The Turning Point, or simply PiliPinas Debates 2022, was a televised debate series organized by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), with the assistance of non-partisan voter education organization Vote Pilipinas as part of the debates for the 2022 Philippine presidential and vice presidential elections.

Numerous organizations have held debates for the 2022 Philippine presidential and vice presidential elections. The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) will organize five debates, three of which are for the presidential candidates, and the other two for the vice presidential candidates. Candidates, though not required to participate in debates, are expected to attend as it presents them with massive exposure not counted on the limits of the airtime that they are allowed to advertise on broadcast networks. The first COMELEC-organized presidential debate was held on March 19, 2022, while the vice presidential debate was held the following day.

PiliPinas Forum 2022 is a televised interview series produced under the partnership of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) and the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP). It is intended to feature candidates of 2022 Philippine presidential and vice presidential elections.
