SE Racing was a BMX bicycle company which was founded in 1977 by Scot Breithaupt (Scot Enterprises). The company manufactured the PK Ripper BMX bike and the Floval Flyer. [1] The PK Ripper is the longest running production BMX bike.
The company was originally called Scot Enterprises and later SE Racing. SE Racing began experimenting with flat oval aluminum tubing that they called Floval. [2] In 1977 SE Racing produced the JU-6 which was named after Jeff Utterback from their racing team. He finished 6th nationally. [3] The Floval frame featured elongated aluminum tubes with long welds which eliminated the need for Gusset plates. The aluminum frame was also one third the weight of Chromoly. The Floval also had 24″ wheels. [4]
In 1979 the PK Ripper was manufactured by SE Racing. The bike was named for BMX racer Perry Kramer. When the bike was introduced it was considered cutting edge, and 2000 units were sold before the company had shipped any units. [3] The PK Ripper is the longest production BMX bike and is still in production as of 2022. [5]
SE Racing is now called (SE Bikes). [5] They continue to produce the PK Ripper and the Floval Flyer. [6] The company has collaborated with the shoe company Vans to create BMX shoes. [7]
BikeCo, LLC is the distributor of SE Bikes, and they are headquartered in Philadelphia. [8]

The pedal is the part of a bicycle that the rider pushes with their foot to propel the vehicle. It provides the connection between the cyclist's foot or shoe and the crank allowing the leg to turn the bottom bracket spindle and propel the bicycle's wheels. A pedal usually consists of a spindle that threads into the end of the crank, and a body on which the foot rest is attached, that is free to rotate on bearings with respect to the spindle.
Road cycling is the most widespread form of cycling in which cyclists ride on paved roadways. It includes recreational, racing, commuting, and utility cycling. As users of the road, road cyclists are generally expected to obey the same laws as motorists, however there are certain exceptions. While there are many types of bicycles that are used on the roads such as BMX, recumbents, racing, touring and Utility bicycles, dedicated road bicycles have specific characteristics that make them ideal for the sport. Road bicycles have thinner tires, lighter frames with no suspension, and a set of drop handle bars to allow riders to get in a more aerodynamic position while cycling at higher speeds. On a flat road, an intermediate cyclist can average about 18 to 20 mph, while a professional rider can average up to 25 mph (40 km/h). At higher speeds, wind resistance becomes an important factor; aerodynamic road bikes have been developed over the years to ensure that as much as possible of the rider's energy is spent propelling the bike forward.

Keith Bontrager is a motorcycle racer who became a pioneer in the development of the modern mountain bike. Between 1980 and 1995, he was president of his own Bontrager Company, which continues to develop components for Trek Bicycle Corporation after Trek bought out Bontrager.
Gregory Alan Hill is a former professional bicycle motocross (BMX) racer from America whose prime competitive years were from 1977 to 1989. After the 1988 season in the top competitive "AA" pro circuit, he retired.

Scot Alexander Breithaupt was an entrepreneur, "Old School" professional motorcycle MX and bicycle motocross (BMX) racer and a founding father of BMX in 1970 whose prime competitive years were from 1970 to 1984. Many consider him, in some ways, a founder of "Old School BMX"—an era from roughly 1969 to 1987 or 1988, from its very beginnings to just after its first major slump in popularity from 1985 to 1988. Racing started to rise in participation again around 1988–89 and is considered the start of Mid School BMX, roughly 1988–2000. He was born in Long Beach, California.
