Sceale Bay Conservation Park is a protected area in the Australian state of South Australia located on the west coast of Eyre Peninsula in the gazetted locality of Yanerbie about 6 kilometres (3.7 miles) north of the town of Sceale Bay. The conservation park was proclaimed under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1972 in 2006 on the basis that some existing crown land 'should be protected and preserved for the purpose of conserving any wildlife and the natural features of the land'. Parts of the conservation park have been subject to protection since 20 April 1995. The conservation park is classified as an IUCN Category III protected area. [3] [4] [5] [6]

Point Labatt Conservation Park is a protected area occupying Point Labatt on the west coast of Eyre Peninsula in South Australia about 39 kilometres South by east of Streaky Bay. The conservation park was proclaimed in July 1973 under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1972 for the purpose of protecting what is considered to be ‘the largest colony of Australian sea lions on mainland Australia’. … was a significant feeding ground for waterbirds and waders in the South East. Because it is fed by groundwater, the lake tends to fill earlier in winter and holds water longer in summer than most other lakes in the area. In the past, it has hosted up to 30,000 banded stilt, which are listed as vulnerable under the National Parks and Wildlife Act, and 40,000 waterfowl. Regular seasonal bird counts have also found it is an important feeding ground for a number of migratory species that use the East Asian-Australasian Flyway. These are birds like the sharp-tailed sandpiper, curlew sandpiper and red-necked stint, which are the subject of a number of international protection agreements.
