Anatomical terminology |
The supraduodenal artery are 1-2 [1] small [1] [2] arteries which usually [3] arise from the gastroduodenal artery, [2] [3] and sometimes from the posterior superior pancreaticoduodenal arteries, [3] or common hepatic artery. [1] They provide arterial supply to the anterosuperior portion of the proximal duodenum. [3]
In human anatomy, the common iliac veins are formed by the external iliac veins and internal iliac veins. The left and right common iliac veins come together in the abdomen at the level of the fifth lumbar vertebra, forming the inferior vena cava. They drain blood from the pelvis and lower limbs.
The external iliac veins are large veins that connect the femoral veins to the common iliac veins. Their origin is at the inferior margin of the inguinal ligaments and they terminate when they join the internal iliac veins.

The anterolateral central arteries or lenticulostriate arteries are a group of small arteries mostly arising from the middle cerebral artery that enter the brain through the anterior perforated substance to provide arterial supply to parts of the basal ganglia. They are end arteries.
The thalamogeniculate artery is either a single artery or group of smaller arteries arising from the posterior cerebral artery. It is part of the posterolateral central arteries. It supplies parts of the thalamus.
The anterior auricular muscle, the smallest of the three auricular muscles, is thin and fan-shaped, and its fibers are pale and indistinct. It arises from the lateral edge of the epicranial aponeurosis, and its fibers converge to be inserted into a projection on the front of the helix.
The retroduodenal arteries are several small arteries which usually arise from the gastroduodenal artery posterior to the superior part of duodenum, but may also arise from the posterior superior pancreaticoduodenal artery. They are distributed to the superior part (I) and proximal portion of the descending part (II) of duodenum, as well as the bile duct. The arteries pass anterior to the retroduodenal segmant of the bile duct.
