Ekambaresh Lakshmi Narayanan (born 1 November 1978), better known by his stage name Tippu, is an Indian playback singer who has performed several songs in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada, languages.

Personal life

Tippu married playback singer Harini in Puttaparthi when they both were 22 years. [2] [3] They have a daughter named Sai Smriti and son, Sai Abhyankkar, who made his singing debut with the single "Katchi Sera" in 2024. [4] The single became popular and was trending across the musical websites and YouTube. [5] Sai Smruti made her debut in Aasa Kooda. This song too became viral and popular.

In 2010, Tippu won the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer for the song "Hey Paaru" from the film Raaj the Showman composed by V. Harikrishna. [7] Tippu was awarded the Kalaimamani by the Government of Tamil Nadu in 2007. [8]
