Before the album's release, the band was the opening act for One Direction in from 2013-2015 on three of their concert tours. There are also two bonus tracks, a live version of "Don't Stop" and Kiss Me Kiss Me as iTunes and Target exclusives respectively. To promote the album, the studio version of "What I Like About You" will be serviced to contemporary hit radio in December 2014 as the lead single from LiveSOS. It was nominated at the 2015 ARIA Music Awards for Best Group, but lost to Tame Impala for Currents.

Written by band members Luke Hemmings and Ashton Irwin with Ali Tamposi, and produced by Andrew Watt and Louis Bell, the track features guitar from Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine, and its music video was released the same day. Calm is the fourth studio album by Australian pop rock band 5 Seconds of Summer, released on 27 March 2020. The album was a commercial success and received positive reviews from critics who praised the band's lyrical growth and maturity. Due to a shipping error, approximately 11,000 copies of the album were released early in the US, subsequently causing the album to chart a week before it was due.

5SOS5 is the fifth studio album by Australian pop rock band 5 Seconds of Summer, released on 23 September 2022 through BMG Rights Management. It was preceded by the release of the singles "Complete Mess", "Take My Hand", "Me Myself & I", "Blender" and "Older". The track list was revealed on 10 May 2022, while the album was announced alongside the release of "Me Myself & I" on 11 May 2022.
