The 2023 Nigerian Senate elections in Osun State will be held on 25 February 2023, to elect the 3 federal Senators from Osun State, one from each of the state's three senatorial districts. The elections will coincide with the 2023 presidential election, as well as other elections to the Senate and elections to the House of Representatives; with state elections being held two weeks later. Primaries were held between 4 April and 9 June 2022.
In the previous Senate elections, none of the three incumbent senators were returned with Olusola Adeyeye (APC-Central) and Babajide Omoworare (APC=East) losing renomination while Ademola Adeleke (PDP-West) retired. In the East district election, Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi gained the seat for the PDP with 50% of the vote while Ajibola Basiru (APC) retained the East district for his party with 54%. In the West district, Adelere Adeyemi Oriolowo (APC) gained the seat with 41% of the vote. The senatorial results were a continuation of slight APC control in the state as the party also won most House of Representatives seats and won a majority in the House of Assembly, in addition to Buhari winning the state in the presidential election.

Ayedaade/Isokan/Irewole Federal constituency is a National Assembly delegation in Osun State, Nigeria. It has been represented by Patricia Etteh, the former speaker of the House of Representatives, since 2007.
Babajide Christopher Omoworare is a Nigerian politician who was elected Senator for the Osun East constituency of Osun State, Nigeria in April 2011, He ran on the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) platform. He was re-elected into the Nigerian senate on 28 March 2015 under the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC) and was succeeded by Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in June 2019.
Adelere Adeyemi Oriolowo is a Nigerian senator representing Osun West Senatorial District at the Nigerian 9th National Assembly. He is a member of the All Progressives Congress and is also an engineer.
The 2022 Osun State gubernatorial election took place on 16 July 2022, to elect the governor of Osun State. Incumbent All Progressives Congress Governor Gboyega Oyetola was eligible for re-election but lost by a 3.5% margin to former Senator Ademola Adeleke—the nominee of the Peoples Democratic Party. Adeleke and his running mate, Kola Adewusi, were inaugurated on 27 November. However, the Election Petition Tribunal overturned the result on 27 January 2023, awarding the win to Oyetola; Adeleke immediately appealed the ruling and remains in office pending the results of further litigation.
