The 2025 Italian regional elections are scheduled to take place in seven regions of Italy over the course of the year. These elections follow the 2025 Italian referendum, which did not reach the required quorum for validity due to low voter turnout. [1] The regional elections are set in a scenario of heightened political tension, particularly between the Meloni government and the centre-left opposition. [2]
