The 1999 Italian local elections were held on 13 June and 27 June. [1]

Contents

In Sicily the elections were also held on November 28 (first round) and December 12 (second round).

In Trentino-Alto Adige the elections were held on May 16 (first round) and May 30 (second round).

The elections were overall won by The Olive Tree coalition, with 21 municipalities won out of 32 and 46 provinces out of 67.

Mahamadou Issoufou President of Niger from 2011 to 2021

Mahamadou Issoufou is a Nigerien politician who served as the President of Niger from 7 April 2011 to 2 April 2021. Issoufou was the prime minister of Niger from 1993 to 1994, president of the National Assembly from 1995 to 1996, and he was a candidate in each presidential election from 1993 to 2016. He led the Nigerien Party for Democracy and Socialism (PNDS-Tarayya), a social democratic party, from its foundation in 1990 until his election as president in 2011. 1998 Texas gubernatorial election American election

The 1998 Texas gubernatorial election was held on November 3, 1998, to elect the Governor of Texas. Incumbent Republican Governor George W. Bush was re-elected in a landslide over 4-term Democratic Texas Land Commissioner Garry Mauro, winning 68% of the vote to Mauro's 31%. Bush's 37% margin of victory was the largest won by any candidate since 1966 and is, to date, the largest ever won by a Republican candidate.

Tokyo Metropolitan Government Prefectural government of Tokyo, Japan

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government is the government of the Tokyo Metropolis. One of the 47 prefectures of Japan, the government consists of a popularly elected governor and assembly. The headquarters building is located in the ward of Shinjuku. The metropolitan government administers the special wards, cities, towns and villages that constitute part of the Tokyo Metropolis. With a population closing in on 14 million living within its boundaries, and many more commuting from neighbouring prefectures, the metropolitan government wields significant political power within Japan.

There are four types of elections in Wales: elections to the House of Commons of the United Kingdom, elections to the devolved Senedd, local elections to the 22 principal areas, and the Police and Crime Commissioner elections, in addition to by-elections for each aforementioned election. Elections are held on Election Day, which is conventionally a Thursday. Since the passing of the Fixed-term Parliaments Act 2011 for UK general elections, all four types of elections are held after fixed periods, though early elections to the UK parliament can occur in certain situations, with Senedd elections being postponed to avoid elections to the UK parliament and Senedd coinciding with each other.

Elections to the 53rd Parliament of New South Wales were held on Saturday 22 March 2003. All seats in the Legislative Assembly and half the seats in the Legislative Council were up for election. The Labor Party led by Bob Carr won a third four-year term against the Liberal-National Coalition led by John Brogden.

The 2011 Italian local elections were held on 15–16 May, with a second round on 29–30 May. In Italy, direct elections were held in all 1,177 municipalities and 11 provinces: in each municipality (comune) were chosen mayor and members of the City Council, in each province were chosen president and members of the Provincial Council. Of the 1,177 municipalities, 30 were provincial capital municipalities and only 105 had a population higher than 15,000 inhabitants.

The centre-left coalition is an alliance of political parties in Italy active, under several forms and names, since 1995 when The Olive Tree was formed under the leadership of Romano Prodi. The centre-left coalition has ruled the country for more than eleven years between 1996 and 2018.

Of the 3,841 municipalities, 30 are provincial capitals.

2020 North Carolina Council of State elections

The North Carolina Council of State elections of 2020 were held on November 3, 2020 to select the ten officers of the North Carolina Council of State. These elections coincided with the presidential election, elections to the House of Representatives, elections to the Senate and elections to the North Carolina General Assembly and top state courts. Primary elections were held on March 3, 2020, for offices for which more than one candidate filed per party.

2020 Italian local elections

The 2020 Italian local elections were held on different dates; they were originally scheduled to take place in May 2020, together with the 2020 regional elections, with a second round on June, but they were delayed on 20 and 21 September with a second round on 4 and 5 October due to the coronavirus pandemic in Italy. Direct elections were held in 1,172 out of 7,904 municipalities; in each of these, the mayor and the members of the City Council are going to be elected. 2022 Tallahassee mayoral election

The 2022 Tallahassee mayoral election is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, to elect the Mayor of Tallahassee, Florida in the United States. The vote is set to be held subsequently along with the 2022 Florida elections with a first-round primary being set for August 23, 2022, and from there are proceeded to a second-round runoff, if necessary.

2022 Italian local elections

The 2022 Italian local elections were held in various Italian local communities on 12 June 2022, with a run-off round on 26 June. Local elections in Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol were held on 15 May, with a second ballot on 29 May, while local elections in Aosta Valley on 29 May, with a second ballot on 12 June. Elections took place in 980 out of 7,904 municipalities, 26 of which were provincial capitals. Mayors and city councils were elected for the ordinary five-year terms, lasting till 2027.
