The 1970 Italian local elections were held on 7 and 8 June. [1] The elections were held in 6,632 municipalities and 88 provinces.

The elections were held simultaneously with regional elections in twelve autonomous communities, as well as elections in the three foral deputations of the Basque Country, the four island councils in the Balearic Islands, the seven island cabildos in the Canary Islands and the European Parliament.

Local elections were held in Greece on 26 May 2019 and 2 June 2019. Voters elected representatives to the country's local authorities, comprising 13 regions and 325 municipalities. New Democracy dominated the elections, winning 12 out of 13 Regions and 2 out of 3 biggest municipalities per population in the country. SYRIZA lost all the Regions that it had won in 2014.
