  • October 29 - Due to weak demand following the termination of federal subsidies on electric vehicles, General Motors announced layoffs of 3,400 workers at electric vehicle and EV battery plants in Michigan (including Factory Zero) and Ohio. [38]
  • November 6 - A battery manufacturer announced the closure of plants in Midland and Auburn Hills. [39]
  • November 9 - Ford exended layoffs at its Dearborn Rouge complex and the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center where the Ford F-150 Lightning is assembled.
