Acra Point is a mountain in Greene County, New York. It is located in the Catskill Mountains south of South Durham. Burnt Knob is located west-northwest, and Blackhead is located south of Acra Point.
Greene County is a county located in the U.S. state of New York. As of the 2020 census, the population was 47,931. Its county seat is Catskill. The county's name is in honor of the American Revolutionary War general Nathanael Greene. The county is part of the Capital District region of the state.
The Sangre de Cristo Mountains are the southernmost subrange of the Rocky Mountains. They are located in southern Colorado and northern New Mexico in the United States. The mountains run from Poncha Pass in South-Central Colorado, trending southeast and south, ending at Glorieta Pass, southeast of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Beacon Mountain, locally Mount Beacon, is the highest peak of Hudson Highlands, located south of City of Beacon, New York, in the Town of Fishkill. Its two summits rise above the Hudson River behind the city and can easily be seen from Newburgh across the river and many other places in the region. The more accessible northern peak, at 1,516 feet (462 m) above sea level, has a complex of radio antennas on its summit; the 1,595 feet (486 m) southern summit has a fire lookout tower, which was built in 1931.
The Acra, with the meaning of "stronghold", was a place in Jerusalem thought to have had a fortified compound built by Antiochus Epiphanes, ruler of the Seleucid Empire, following his sack of the city in 168 BCE. The name Acra was also used at a later time for a city quarter probably associated with the by-then destroyed fortress, known in his time to Josephus as both Acra and "the lower city". The fortress played a significant role in the events surrounding the Maccabean Revolt, which resulted in the formation of the Hasmonean Kingdom. The "upper city" was captured by Judas Maccabeus, with the Seleucid garrison taking refuge in the "Acra" below, and the task of destroying this last enemy stronghold inside Jerusalem fell to Simon Maccabeus surnamed Thassi. Knowledge about the Acra is based almost exclusively on the writings of Josephus, which are of a later date, and on the First and Second Books of Maccabees, which were written not long after the described events.

The 13,179-foot (4,017 m) thirteener is located in the South San Juan Wilderness of Rio Grande National Forest, 19.6 miles (31.6 km) north-northwest of Cumbres Pass in Conejos County, Colorado, United States. The mountain is within the watershed of the South Fork Boise River where the south side is drained by Bear Creek and the north side by the Ross Fork. No maintained trails lead to either summit.

Mount Wellington rises 600 feet (180 m) above lake level. The extreme southern point of the mountain is called Clarke Point and also referred to as the Shad Cam. It is known as "The Sleeping Lion", as it looks similar to a lion laying down, viewed from Cooperstown, New York. It was originally named Mount Millington, but was renamed by George Hyde Clarke in honor of Field Marshal The 1st Duke of Wellington, the victor of Waterloo, who had been Clarke's schoolmate at Eton College in England.
