Adakekere is a village in the southern state of Karnataka, India. [1] [2] It is located in the Gubbi taluk of Tumkur district in Karnataka.
Karnataka is a state in the south western region of India. It was formed on 1 November 1956, with the passage of the States Reorganisation Act. Originally known as the State of Mysore, it was renamed Karnataka in 1973. The state corresponds to the Carnatic region. The capital and largest city is Bangalore.

Gubbi Town 20 km from Tumakuru and 90 km from Bengaluru along NH-206. Gubbi ULB Contains 17 Wards and equal number of Councilors. The population of the Gubbi Town is 18,457 as per Census 2011. The total area of the Town is 6.67 sq. km. Gubbi was earlier known by the name Amaragonda. Gubbi is famous for Gosala Sri Channabasaveshwara Swamy Temple of Veerashaiva sect and Sri Chidambarashrama.
