The Bombardier 3.8 is a recreational sailboat, built predominantly of fibreglass. It has an unstayed catboat rig, a raked stem, vertical transom, a wooden transom-hung rudder controlled by a tiller and a wooden daggerboard keel. It displaces 110 lb (50 kg). [1] [2]
The boat has a draft of 2.60 ft (0.79 m) with the daggerboard down and 0.33 ft (0.10 m) with it retracted, allowing beaching or ground transportation on a trailer or car top. [1] [2]
