Bomet Constituency was a former electoral constituency in the Rift Valley Province of Kenya. It was divided into Bomet East Constituency and Bomet Central Constituency.

Nakuru County is a county in Kenya. The capital and largest town is Nakuru, although Naivasha is another major significant urban centre. With a population of 2,162,202, it is the fourth most populous county in Kenya after Nairobi, Kakamega and Kiambu in that order in terms of population density. Nakuru County has an area of 2,325.8 km2. Until August 21, 2010, it formed part of Rift Valley Province.

The opening of the parliament was fraught with jeers, cheers and brawls between the opposing parties; Mwai Kibaki was greeted by the ODM members with silence and boos, while Raila was greeted by PNU members with accusations of genocide.

Joyce Cherono Abonyo was a Kenyan politician who served as the second governor of Bomet County from 2017 until her death on 29 July 2019. She was a Member of Parliament representing Sotik constituency, before she was elected to the gubernatorial seat.

Konoin Constituency is an electoral constituency in Bomet County, Kenya. It is one of five constituencies in Bomet County and was one of three constituencies of the former Buret District. The constituency has seven wards, all electing councillors for the Bureti County Council. The constituency was established for the 1988 elections.
Sub-counties are the decentralised units through which county governments of Kenya will provide functions and services. Except for the parts which fall under urban areas, sub-counties will coincide with the constituencies created under article 89 of the Constitution of Kenya.
