South Mugirango is an electoral constituency in Kenya. It is one of nine constituencies in Kisii County. The constituency was established for the 1988 elections.

South Mugirango has two sub-counties within its boundaries: Etago and Gucha South. Each sub-county is headed by a sub-county administrator, appointed by a County Public Service Board. [5]
Siaya County is one of the counties in the former Nyanza Province in western Kenya. It is bordered by Busia County to the north, Kakamega County, and Vihiga County to the northeast and Kisumu County to the southeast. It shares a water border with Homa Bay County which is located south of Siaya County. The total area of the county is approximately 2,496.1 km2. The county lies between latitude 0° 26' to 0° 18' north and longitude 33° 58' east and 34° 33' west. Siaya has been split up into six new districts. Under the 2010 Constitution, the role of the districts is still unclear as much of the administrative authority was transferred to the county. The capital is Siaya, although the largest town is Bondo.
Nyamira County is a county in the former Nyanza Province of Kenya. Formally a district, Nyamira was hived off Kisii District in 1989, and it shares common boundaries with what was known as Nyamira District. The main cash crops grown are bananas and tea. The county has a population of 605,576. Its capital and largest town is Nyamira, with an urban population of around 41,668 The county is also referred to as North Kisii.
Kitui County is a county in the former Eastern Province of Kenya with its capital and largest town being Kitui, although Mwingi is also another major urban centre. The county has a population of 1,136,187. and an area of 30,496 km2. It lies between latitudes 0°10 South and 3°0 South and longitudes 37°50 East and 39°0 East.
Kamukunji Constituency is an electoral constituency in Kenya. It is one of seventeen constituencies of Nairobi County. It consists of central to eastern areas of Nairobi. Kamukunji constituency had common boundaries with Pumwani Division of Nairobi. The entire constituency is located within Nairobi City County area. The constituency has an area of 8.80 km2 (3.4 sq mi). The constituency forms part of what was known as Nairobi Central Constituency at the 1963 elections. Kamukunji Constituency was conceived prior to the 1969 elections. The current constituency boundaries were revised prior to the 2013 elections. It borders Starehe Constituency to the west, Makadara to the south, Embakasi West Constituency to the east, and Mathare Constituency to the north.
Kasarani Constituency is an electoral constituency in Nairobi. It is one of seventeen constituencies of Nairobi City County. The entire constituency is located within Nairobi City County, and has an area of 152.60 km2 (58.9 sq mi), making it the second-largest constituency in Nairobi after Lang'ata. It borders Ruaraka, Embakasi Central, Embakasi North, Embakasi East, Roysambu constituencies to the west; Ruiru constituency to the north; Matungulu constituency to the east and Mavoko constituency to the south-east.
Makadara Constituency is an electoral constituency in Nairobi City County, Kenya. It is one of the seventeen constituencies in the county. It was renamed prior to the 1997 elections, but was also known as Doonholm Constituency for the 1963 and 1969 elections, then as Bahati Constituency. It consists of some central and southern of central areas of Nairobi County. The entire constituency is located within Nairobi City County, and has an area of 13 km2. The current constituency boundaries were revised prior to the 2013 elections. It has a population of 189,536 people from the 2019 census report.
Westlands is an electoral constituency in Kenya. It is one of the seventeen constituencies in Nairobi County. The constituency is situated within Westlands Sub-county, formerly Westlands District. The entire constituency is located within Nairobi City County. The constituency has an area of 72.4 km2 (28.0 sq mi). It was known as Nairobi Northwest Constituency at the 1963 elections, then as Parklands Constituency and since 1988 elections it has been known as Westlands Constituency.
Starehe is an electoral constituency in Kenya. It is one of seventeen constituencies in Nairobi City County. It consists of central and central to north areas of Nairobi. The constituency was established for the 1966 elections, with an area of 20 km2 (7.7 sq mi). It borders Westlands Constituency to the north; Mathare Constituency to the northeast; Kamukunji and Makadara constituencies to the east; Embakasi South Constituency to the south; Dagoretti North, Kibra and Lang'ata constituencies to the west.
The 10th Parliament of Kenya saw the National Assembly opened on 15 January 2008. This following the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) of Raila Odinga winning a majority in the 2007 parliamentary elections. Raila was a candidate in the presidential elections, which resulted in a controversial victory for Mwai Kibaki of the Party of National Unity. The opening of the parliament was fraught with jeers, cheers and brawls between the opposing parties; Mwai Kibaki was greeted by the ODM members with silence and boos, while Raila was greeted by PNU members with accusations of genocide.
James Omingo Magara is a Kenyan politician. He belongs to the Jubilee Party and was the MP for South Mugirango Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya from the year 2000 - 2009. He first won the seat in the by-elections in 2001 on Ford-Kenya ticket, replacing his brother Enoch Nyakieya Magara of Ford-Kenya, who had died in a car accident. He retained the seat at the 2002 elections, but now representing Ford-People, and in the 2007 elections representing ODM. He was the assistant minister of trade until December 2009 the High court of Kenya declared the South Mugirango parliamentary seat vacant due to irregularities in the election process, although Magara himself was not found guilty of any rigging. Subsequent South Mugirango by-election was held in June 2010. Magara decamped to the little-known People's Democratic Party (PDP) after being denied ODM's nomination apparently because he had fallen out of favour with party leader Raila Odinga. The by-election was won by Manson Nyamweya of Ford-People, who beat Magara and Ibrahim Ochoi of ODM. In 2013,Omingo Magara Vied for Kisii Senatorial seat where he came far 3rd as Chris Obure worn in the fiercely contest elections
