China Hi-Tech Group Corporation, Ltd. (CHTC) is a Chinese conglomerate company. The company is owned by the Chinese Central Government via State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC). [1] The company main focus is on the textile industry. In June 2017, CHTC became a wholly owned subsidiary of Sinomach, another SASAC company, through a restructuring, [2] as part of a plan to reduce the number of SASAC directly-controlled companies. Operations

CHTC is the parent company of Jingwei Textile Machinery (SZSE : 000666 for 56.04%), Kama (SSE : 900953 for 30.27%) and CHTC Fong's Industries (SEHK :  641, for 55.80%). [2] [5]

The company also owns 10.19% stake of CHTC Helon (SZSE : 000677) and 18.30% stake of Huaxun Fangzhou (SZSE : 000687), being in both the second largest shareholder, as of 31 December 2015.

CHTC Auto

CHTC Auto (Chinese :恒天汽车), translated alternatively as Hengtian, a part of CHTC's Heavy Industry Group (Chinese :重工集团), is CHTC's vehicle production division. CHTC entered into the automotive business in 2008, after reorganising Kama's commercial vehicle and diesel engine operation. [6]

During 2010, Hengtian (CHTC) Heavy Industry, a CHTC subsidiary, expanded the commercial vehicle operation of the company. That year, it established Zhengzhou Hongda Automobile Industry Co., Ltd. It also acquired the bus producer Jiangxi Coach and Bus Co., Ltd. In March 2011, Hengtian Heavy Industry incorporated Hebei Lida Special Vehicle Co., Ltd. [6]

In June 2010, Jingwei Textile Machinery, another CHTC subsidiary, incorporated truck manufacturer Hubei Xinchufeng Automobile Co., Ltd. and reincorporated parts of it as Hengtian (CHTC) Automobile Co., Ltd. In May 2011, CHTC reincorporated Nanchang Kama Diesel Engine Co., Ltd. as Hengtian (CHTC) Power Co., Ltd. In November 2011, CHTC acquired pick-up and truck manufacturer Dadi Auto [6] and reincorporated it on 16 October 2012 as Hengtian (CHTC) Dadi Automobile Co., Ltd. [7] In 2012, CHTC unveiled the first CHTC-badged pick-ups, based on Dadi technology, [6] the Tutengs T1 and T2. [8] A third pickup, the Tuteng T3 (an upmarket version of the T2), was launched in 2013. [9]

In June 2017, it was announced that CHTC would take control of a 15.24% stake in truck and special vehicle manufacturer Hualing Xingma from the Xingma Group, becoming the largest shareholder. [10] [4] The ultimate owner of the stake would change from the Maanshan Municipal People's Government to the SASAC. As part of the deal, Hualing Xingma would acquire CHTC's Hubei Xinchufeng in exchange of shares. In August 2017, Hualing Xingma announced that various complexities would stop Hubei Xinchufeng acquisition, but the agreement for CHTC taking a stake was still in place. In October 2017, CHTC announced the agreement was cancelled, as there were not enough safeguards for the investment. [11]

International

From early 2012 until late 2020, CHTC owned the Dutch truck manufacturer GINAF. [6] [12] [13] In 2013, through a joint venture, it acquired the assets of Slovenian bus manufacturer TAM.

Its products include automobiles, microvans, and automotive components. Its principal activity is the design, development, manufacture and sale of passenger cars sold under the Brilliance brand.

Dadi Auto

Dadi Auto was a pickup truck and heavy-duty truck manufacturing company headquartered in Baoding, China. Formerly a military automobile maker, Baoding Dadi assembled their first civil pickup in 1988. Their product line-up mirrored that of Great Wall Motor and Zhongxing. The company claimed a production capacity of 50,000 units per year, but this figure may conflate engines and whole vehicles. The company later stopped manufacturing passenger cars and focused on the commercial vehicle market. In November 2011, Chinese conglomerate CHTC acquired Dadi and reincorporated it as Hengtian (CHTC) Dadi Automobile Co., Ltd. on October 16, 2012.

Dongfeng Motor Group Co., Ltd. known also as DFG is a Chinese holding company based in Wuhan, Hubei Province. Its H shares were listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange.

Masteel Group

Magang (Group) Holding Co., Ltd., or known as Masteel Group, is one of the major Chinese iron and steel enterprises. Since 2019, it is a joint venture of central government owned China Baowu Steel Group and Anhui Provincial People's Government's State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC). It is headquartered in Ma'anshan, Anhui province. The group produced iron and steel via its listed subsidiary Maanshan Iron and Steel Company Limited, which was a listed company since 1993. However, the group had a significant part remained unlisted.

China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Co., Ltd., CNHTC or Sinotruk Group is a Chinese state-owned truck manufacturer headquartered in Jinan, Shandong province. It is currently the third largest truck manufacturer in Mainland China. It is famous for developing and manufacturing China's first heavy duty truck - "Huanghe" JN150.

Huaigang Special Steel

Jiangsu Shagang Group Huaigang Special Steel Co., Ltd. is a Chinese steel manufacturer based in Huai'an, Jiangsu Province. It was a subsidiary of privately held company Shagang Group via its publicly traded subsidiary Shagang Company for 63.79% stake, from 2010 to 2015. As at 31 December 2013, Huaigang accounted for 99.9% revenue and 97% assets of Shagang Company. However, as at 31 December 2015, Shagang Group owned just 19.88% stake in Shagang Company; in turn Shagang Company owned 63.79% stake of Huaigang. Shagang Group sold 55.12% stake of Shagang Company in 2015, for about CN¥4.6 billion .

China Oceanwide Holdings Group Co., Ltd. known also as China Oceanwide is a Chinese privately owned investment company. It is the parent company of publicly traded company Oceanwide Holdings as well as the largest shareholder of another public company Minsheng Holding.

Sinobioway Group

Hualing Xingma Automobile (Group) Co., Ltd. is a publicly traded Chinese manufacturer of trucks and truck-based special vehicles established in 1999. The company traces its origins back to a Ma'anshan manufacturer established in 1970. As a marque and as the company name in markets outside China, Hualing Xingma uses the designation CAMC.

JMC Heavy Duty Vehicle

JMC Heavy Duty Vehicle (JMCH) is a Chinese manufacturer of Ford-based heavy trucks owned by Jiangling Motors. It was established in 2013 as a successor of Taiyuan Changan and is headquartered in Taiyuan
