Dodoni Province was the largest of the four provinces of Ioannina Prefecture of Greece. Its territory corresponded with that of the current municipalities Dodoni, Ioannina, North Tzoumerka, Zagori and Zitsa, and the municipal units Ano Kalamas, Egnatia (partly) and Kalpaki. [1] It was abolished in 2006.

Miltiadis Gouskos was a Greek athlete. He was born in Zakynthos and died in the British Indian Empire from food poisoning. He competed at the 1896 Summer Olympics in Athens in the shot put, placing second to Robert Garrett of the United States. Gouskos's best throw was 11.03 metres, short of Garrett's 11.22 metres.

The municipal unit covers the northwestern part of the Xerovouni mountains.

The municipal unit has an area of 158.578 km2. Its population was 2,405 according to the census of 2011. Lakka Souliou is a historical site in the wider area of Souli.
Bizani is a village and a former municipality in the Ioannina regional unit, Epirus, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Ioannina, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 91.372 km2, the community 11.660 km2. In 2011 its population was 5,124. The seat of the municipality was in Pedini. The municipal unit is situated in the plains and low hills south and southwest of Ioannina. The Greek National Road 5, the Greek National Road 17 and the Egnatia Odos motorway pass through the municipal unit.
Selloi is a former municipality in the Ioannina regional unit, Epirus, Greece. Since 2011, local government reform it is part of the municipality of Dodoni, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 166.432 km2. Is in the southwest of the Ioannina regional unit. The municipal unit is subdivided into fifteen communities.
Tomaros is a mountain in southwestern Ioannina regional unit, Greece. Rising to the south of the archaeological site of Dodona, it is part of the Pindus mountain range. Its maximum elevation is 1,974 m. The nearest mountains are the Xerovouni to the southeast and the Souli Mountains to the southwest. There are forests in the lower areas, the highest areas consist of dry grasslands.

It is situated at 500 m above sea level, in the hills near the upper course of the river Tyria.
