Epsom Coaches [1] was an English bus and coach operator based in the town of Epsom, Surrey. Formed in 1920, it closed in June 2017 after a corporate restructure.
The coach business was established by Herbert Roderick Richmond in 1920 [2] [3] and latterly operated a fleet of mostly Setra coaches.
In 1986 Epsom Coaches entered the bus market after deregulation. [3] [4] In 2003, Epsom Coaches rebranded its bus division as Quality Line and repainted its vehicles from their traditional cream and brown into allover red to comply with Transport for London requirements.
It operated a staff shuttle service for the Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust, between Epsom, St Helier and Sutton Hospitals. These were in a plain silver livery. It also operated bus services in Surrey, both commercial and for the county council using the silver livery.
From March 2012 Epsom Coaches operated a London Victoria Coach Station to Wolverhampton service under contract to National Express. [5]
On 19 April 2012 Epsom Coaches was purchased by the RATP Group. [2] [6] [7] In June 2017 as part of a restructure of RATP's operations, Epsom Coaches ceased trading with the remaining operations continuing under the Quality Line brand. [8] [9]
In 2014, Epsom Coaches appeared in rock band Twin Atlantic's 'Hold On' music video. [10]
Arriva plc is a British multinational public transport company headquartered in Sunderland, England. It was established in 1938 as T Cowie Ltd. and through a number of mergers and acquisitions was rebranded Arriva in 1997 and became a subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn in 2010. Arriva operates bus, coach, train, tram and waterbus services in 14 countries across Europe. As of September 2018, it employed 61,845 people and operated 2.4 billion passenger journeys annually. It operates as three divisions: UK Bus, UK Rail and Mainland Europe. Deutsche Bahn announced in 2019 they wished to sell Arriva, but the sale was placed on hold as of November in that year.
The RATP Group, also known as the RATP or Régie autonome des transports parisiens, is a state-owned public transport operator and maintainer headquartered in Paris, France. Formed in 1949, it has its origins as the city's public transport operator. Its logo represents, in a stylised version, the Seine's meandering through the Paris area as the face of a person looking up.

Quality Line was a bus company based in Epsom, England. A subsidiary of the RATP Group, Quality Line operated bus services throughout the South West London and Surrey area, with many under contract to Transport for London. It ceased operations on 2 July 2021, with all remaining routes transferring to RATP's London United subsidiary.
London United is a bus company operating mostly in west and south-west Greater London. It is a subsidiary of the RATP Dev Transit London and operates services under contract to Transport for London.
