Gabriele Dietrich (born 1943) is a German-born Indian scholar and philosopher. She is the Sociology Professor at the Tamil Nadu Theological Seminary,Madurai,affiliated to the nation's first University,the Senate of Serampore College (University).
Dietrich grew up in Germany during the post-Second World War period in a disarrayed atmosphere. [1] She emigrated to India in 1972 and is based in Madurai. Dietrich became a naturalised Indian citizen in 1990. [2] [3]
In various stages of her study life,Dietrich went through the Universities of Marburg,Münster and Heidelberg. [1] She had done her research at the Free University of Berlin on Aztec religion. [4]

Dietrich first came to India in 1971 as a Researcher to the Christian Institute of Study of Religion and Society (CISRS), Bangalore during the Directorship of M. M. Thomas. After an extended stint with the CISRS, she left for Germany in 1973. On invitation from the Tamil Nadu Theological Seminary in 1975, she returned to India to take up a teaching assignment at the Seminary where she currently teaches.
In 2004, an 11-member committee coordinated by Lalrinawmi Ralte of the United Theological College, Bangalore brought out a festschrift in honour of Dietrich [1] entitled Waging Peace, Building a World in which Life Matters: Festschrift to Honour Gabriele Dietrich.
Victor Premasagar (1927–2005) was the fourth successor of Frank Whittaker as Bishop in Medak. He was an Indian churchman and Old Testament scholar who made major contributions to research on the Old Testament and to the field of theology. Premasagar's articles appeared in the Expository Times (1966), the Vetus Testamentum (1966), the International Review of Mission (1972), and the Indian Journal of Theology (1974) and cited in major works relating to the theme of Promise in the Bible and critical works on Psalms LXXX and the Hebrew word HOQ in the Tanakh.

Evangeline Anderson-Rajkumar is a feminist activist ecumenical theologian who taught at Serampore College, Serampore (1990-1994) the United Theological College, Bangalore, (1999-2014). Evangeline Anderson-Rajkumar was the first permanent woman faculty to serve as faculty in the Theology Department of the renowned Serampore College, founded by William Carey when he came to India in 1792. She was the first Lutheran Woman to serve as first Vice President of the United Evangelical Lutheran Churches in India in 2006. She comes from a family of theologians - about 17 of them, her father, all eight siblings, and seven of the eight who married into the family. Evangeline Anderson-Rajkumar served as the President of the Association of Theologically Trained Women of India (ATTWI) and is a sought after resource person on Body Theology.
Bishop Emeritus P. Surya Prakash was the fifth Bishop-in-Karimnagar Diocese of the Church of South India. from 2007 through 2014 and occupied the Cathedra in Karimnagar's Wesley Cathedral. He retired on account of superannuation in 2014 following which the Church of South India Synod headquartered in Chennai appointed a successor to him in 2015.

Timotheas Hembrom is an ordained Minister of the Church of North India and an Old Testament Scholar who taught at the Bishop's College, Kolkata, affiliated to the nation's first University, the Senate of Serampore College (University). As a Biblical scholar, Hembrom is a member of the scholarly Society for Biblical Studies in India, with members from the Protestant, Orthodox, Catholic and Charismatic Church societies. Melanchthon (1934–1994) was a Silver Jubilee Priest hailing from Protestant Andhra Evangelical Lutheran Church Society who taught Religions, at United Theological College, Bangalore from 1968 till the latter half of eighties until his career was brought to an abrupt end in 1988 on being stricken with paralysis. Melanchthon used to be quite active among the academic community along with Chrysostom Arangaden, Arvind P. Nirmal and others in not only delivering scholarly talks, but also in contributing research articles and reviewing new titles.
