London Buses route 132 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Bexleyheath Shopping Centre and North Greenwich bus station, it is operated by Go-Ahead London.
On 24 January 2009, the route was extended westwards via the Greenwich Peninsula to North Greenwich bus station. [1] [2] On 3 October 2009, East Thames Buses was sold to Go-Ahead London, which included a five-year contract to operate route 132. [3] [4] [5] On 7 November 2009, the allocation was transferred to Bexleyheath garage. [6]
Since October 2009, part of the route from Eltham to Bexleyheath has been covered at night by night bus route N21. [7]
During the London 2012 Olympics, the route was temporarily converted from single-decker to double-decker operation. [8] The route was permanently converted to double-decker operation in December 2012. [9] [10]
On 12 September 2015, the route gained a 24-hour service on Friday and Saturday nights. At the moment, the 24-hour service on Friday and Saturday nights is suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [11]
In January 2020, the daytime frequency of the route was increased from a bus every 10 minutes to a bus every eight minutes. [12] [13]
In November 2020, Transport for London announced that the route would be operated by electric double-decker buses. [14] On 9 July 2022, the route began converting to electric bus operation with BYD Alexander Dennis Enviro400EV vehicles. [15] To cater for these vehicles, a pantograph charger was installed at Bexleyheath bus garage to allow rapid charging to 'top up' the battery during the day. [16]

Well Hall is a place to the north of Eltham in the Royal Borough of Greenwich in southeast London, England, with no present formal boundaries and located 13.5 km (8.4 mi) east-southeast of Charing Cross. In the past Well Hall was the grounds of a manor house, and then a hamlet. Today it is a largely residential suburb and housing estate absorbed by the development of Eltham and London. It is centred on the main road between Eltham and Woolwich, on which many shops and businesses are located. Several major A roads including the South Circular Road and A2 road pass through the area, as does a railway line, serving Eltham station which is located in Well Hall. The Postcode that covers Well Hall and most of the Eltham area is SE9, and the 020 dialing covers the entire Royal Borough of Greenwich. Well Hall is split across two electoral wards, Eltham West on the west side of Well Hall Road, and Eltham North on the east side of Well Hall Road. In 2015 the population of these two wards combined was recorded as 24,621, although the wards cover a larger area than just Well Hall.
Avery Hill is an area of South East London mainly within Royal Borough of Greenwich, and with some parts in the London Borough of Bexley. It is located east of Eltham and north west of Sidcup. It is believed that the area is named after an aviary formerly located in the area.
