Bree is a fictional village in J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth, east of the Shire and south of Fornost Erain. It was inspired by the Buckinghamshire village of Brill, which Tolkien visited regularly in his early years at Oxford.. Bree was also inspired by Tolkien's passion for linguistic puns, as 'bre' is often a general Celtic word for "hill".
Indian Lake is a town in Hamilton County, New York, United States. The population was 1,352 at the 2010 census. The name is from a lake of the same name that is largely inside the town. There are no permanent stop lights in the town. Law enforcement is provided by New York State Troopers and Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.
The Iron Hills are a fictional range of mountains in J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth writings. They are remnants of the Iron Mountains of the First Age and are located east of the Lonely Mountain in the northeastern part of Wilderland and the northwest of Rhûn. The Iron Hills are a realm of Dwarves. In Tolkien's novel The Hobbit, an army of Dwarves from the Iron Hills under Dáin II Ironfoot comes to the aid of Thorin Oakenshield in the Battle of Five Armies.

Park Foothills is a neighborhood in Northeast El Paso. It is located west of U.S. 54 to the Franklin Mountains, and from Mountain Ridge Drive and Atlas Avenue north to the boundary of Castner Range at Hondo Pass Avenue, mainly on a hill known as Wingate Point down which Hondo Pass and Hercules Avenue run, which forms part of the eastern foothills of the Franklin Mountains. It encompasses the officially recognized neighborhoods of Park Foothills and Sunrise Acres West, which includes the area east of Echo Street to the Patriot Freeway. Park Foothills is mainly residential and developed piecemeal as part of a slow ongoing process, consisting of apartment complexes of varying sizes and houses of varying styles built either individually or as part of small developments constructed beginning in the early 1950s, with a commercial area along Gateway South Boulevard at its eastern edge and smaller business districts around the intersections of Hercules Avenue and Leo Street, Magnetic Street and Hondo Pass Avenue, and Zion Drive with Alabama Street. Many of Park Foothills' streets are named for minerals or gemstones or have names with an astronomical theme. Sunrise Park at the center of Park Foothills is its only park of any size.

Highway 20 is a major road intended for travel by the public between Highway 11 Lumsden to Highway 3 at Birch Hills. Saskatchewan's main roadways are located in the central/southern geographical land area of rolling prairie and grass land in a western Canadian prairie province. This highway is one which runs south to north and is located just east of Saskatoon and just north of Regina. At the northern extremity near Lanigan, the highway helps to service the PCS Lanigan potash mining operation. Down south, the highway is popular for tourists heading out to the Qu'Appelle Valley and resorts and beaches of Last Mountain Lake.

Alander Mountain, 2,239 feet (682 m), is a prominent peak of the south Taconic Mountains; it is located in southwest Massachusetts and adjacent New York. Part of the summit is grassy and open and part is covered with scrub oak and shrubs; the sides of the mountain are wooded with northern hardwood tree species. Views from the top include the southern Taconic Mountains, the Hudson River Valley including the Catskills. Several trails traverse Alander Mountain, most notably the 15.7 mi (25.3 km) South Taconic Trail, which passes just beneath the summit.
Honwee Mountain, east summit 2,313 feet (705 m) and west summit 2,280 feet (690 m), is a prominent mountain in the Taconic Mountains of western Massachusetts. The mountain is located in Pittsfield State Forest. The east (highest) summit is traversed by the Honwee Circuit multi-use trail. The west summit is crossed by the 35 mi (56 km) Taconic Crest hiking trail and the 12.1 mi (19.5 km) multi-use Taconic Skyline Trail. The mountain is wooded with northern hardwood forest species.
The University District, often referred to as University Parkway, is a foothill community located approximately 5–8 miles north of downtown San Bernardino, California. The District is named after the California State University, San Bernardino. It is one of the most desirable neighborhoods in San Bernardino along with the Hospitality Lane District. As California State University, San Bernardino grew so did the region around it; it used to be nothing but mid-desert farmland, but has been developing quickly to become a major and important independent neighborhood to not only San Bernardino but also the entire region.

The range is a sub-part of landforms extending south from the Black Hills of Yavapai County.
