Miss World America 2018 was the 10th Miss World America pageant, this edition of the pageant differed from previous editions as the winner was selected through a video submission contest, as opposed to a standard pageant event.

Clarissa Bowers of Florida crowned Marisa Butler of Maine as her successor at the end of the event. Butler then represented the United States at the Miss World 2018 pageant on December 8 in Sanya, China where she was placed in the Top 30.

As the national titleholder, Butler represented the United States at Miss World 2018, reaching the top thirty, and also represented the United States at Miss Earth 2021. Butler was previously crowned Miss Maine USA 2016.

Miss World America 2017, also referred to as America's Miss World 2017, was the 9th edition of the Miss World America pageant and it was held in the Linda Chapin Theater in the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida and was won by Clarissa Bowers of Florida. She was crowned by outgoing titleholder, Audra Mari of North Dakota. Bowers went on to represent the United States at the Miss World 2017 Pageant in Sanya, China later that year. She finished in the Top 40 at Miss World.

Miss World USA 1976 was the 15th edition of the Miss World USA pageant and it was held in Boston, Massachusetts and was won by Kimberly Marre Foley of Michigan. She finished in the Top 14 at Miss World.

Miss USA 2021 was the 70th Miss USA pageant, held at the Paradise Cove Theater of River Spirit Casino Resort in Tulsa, Oklahoma on November 29, 2021. The edition marked the first year of the competition under Crystle Stewart's directorship.
