Piaba Madokwe (born Phiwaba Madokwe) is a South African politician who served as Member of the National Assembly for the Economic Freedom Fighters from October 2020 until August 2023. Madokwe had previously served as the secretary-general of the EFF Student Command.

Career

In June 2015, Madokwe was elected secretary-general of the student command of the Economic Freedom Fighters. [1]

In March 2019, Madokwe was announced as a parliamentary candidate of the EFF for the 2019 general election. [2] She was not elected to parliament at the election in May 2019. In July 2019, Muzi Khozi succeeded her as secretary-general. [3] She was elected to the EFF's central command team, the party's highest-decision making body, in December 2019. [4]

On 22 October 2020, Madokwe entered the National Assembly as a replacement for Peter Keetse. [5]

Madokwe was one of four EFF MPs who were banned from attending the EFF's 10th anniversary celebrations at the FNB Stadium on 29 July 2023 for failing to provide buses to take party supporters to the event. [6] On 27 August 2023, EFF leader Julius Malema announced that the party was recalling over 210 public representatives, including Madokwe, for their failure to procure transport for party supporters to attend the event. [7] Madokwe resigned from Parliament on 30 August. [8]

Omphile Mankoba Confidence Maotwe is a South African politician. On 14 December 2019, she was elected Treasurer-General of the Economic Freedom Fighters, succeeding Leigh-Ann Mathys. Maotwe became a Member of Parliament on 31 October 2019. She was previously involved with the EFF in Gauteng, serving as the party's spokeswoman and treasurer.

Thembinkosi Tevin Apleni was a South African politician who served as a permanent delegate to the National Council of Provinces from May 2019 until his death in May 2023. He was one of six permanent delegates from the Eastern Cape. Apleni was a member of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) and served as the party's provincial treasurer from November 2022 until May 2023. He was previously the party's provincial secretary from 2015 until 2018 when he was elected deputy provincial chairperson.

Jacob Boy Mamabolo is a South African politician from Limpopo who serves as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa. He was elected to Parliament at the 2019 general election. Mamabolo is a member of the African National Congress.

Phuti Peter Keetse is a South African politician who served as a Member of the National Assembly for the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) from 2019 to 2020. He was the president of the party's student organisation and a FeesMustFall activist. Keetse played a very significant role in mobilising students' activist and was also an active in the early formation of the EFF Student Command, Which he eventually became its President.

Longinus Kalimbo Iipumbu is a Namibian politician who has been serving as a Member of the National Assembly of Namibia for the Namibian Economic Freedom Fighters since 2020. He is the party's national coordinator and chief whip in parliament. Iipumbu was the youth leader of the Congress of Democrats.

Nokulunga Primrose Sonti is a South African politician from the North West who has been serving as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa for the Economic Freedom Fighters since May 2014. Sonti was previously a member of the African National Congress.

Mmabatho Olive Mokause is a South African politician serving as a permanent delegate to the National Council of Provinces from the Northern Cape since March 2020. She is a member of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF). Mokause was a Member of the Northern Cape Provincial Legislature from May 2014 to April 2015. She was appointed to the National Assembly of South Africa, the lower house of Parliament, in April 2015 and served in the chamber until January 2018. After the May 2019 general election, she returned to the National Assembly, but resigned in September. In March 2020, she was selected to represent the EFF in the upper house.

Hlengiwe Octavia Mkhaliphi is a South African politician who has been serving as a Member of the National Assembly since May 2014. Mkhaliphi is a founding member of the Economic Freedom Fighters and served as the party's inaugural deputy secretary-general from 2014 until 2019.

John Andile Mngxitama is a South African politician serving as the president of the Black First Land First party since October 2015. Formerly a member of the Economic Freedom Fighters, he served as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa for the party from May 2014 until his expulsion in April 2015.

Vuyokazi Ketabahle was a South African politician who served as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa for the Economic Freedom Fighters party from January 2015 until August 2018 when she resigned from the party.

Sinawo Thambo is a South African politician from the Western Cape. As of 22 October 2020, he is a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa representing the Economic Freedom Fighters. Tambo was the provincial chairperson of the EFF Student Command. In March 2022, he was redeployed to the position on National Spokesperson of the EFF.

Ngwanamakwetle Reneiloe Mashabela is a South African politician from the Economic Freedom Fighters party. She has been a Member of Parliament (MP) in the National Assembly of South Africa since May 2014. Mashabela is a member of the central command team of the EFF.

Ciliesta Catherine Shoana Motsepe was a South African Member of Parliament for the Economic Freedom Fighters. She was elected to parliament in 2019.
