Seven Sisters Post was an Indian English-language newspaper published from Guwahati. It was first launched on 11 November 2011, by Saradha Printing and Publications Pvt. Ltd. [1] [2]

Contents

The newspaper mainly covered news of north-eastern India. Every Sunday a supplement was published, with the main newspaper dedicated to creative writing, including poetry, essays and stories. [1]

The newspaper is closed and its website has also expired due to Saradha Group chit fund scam. [3]

Sakalbela was a Bengali daily newspaper published from Kolkata starting 29 June 2010 that was owned by Saradha Printing & Publication Pvt Ltd., a division of the now-defunct Saradha Group. The newspaper was published from Kolkata, Siliguri, Durgapur, Guwahati, Agartala, Sivasagar and New Delhi. Saradha Printing & Publication Pvt Ltd also owned the English dailies The Bengal Post & Seven Sisters Post, the Hindi daily Prabhat Barta, and the Urdu daliy Azad Hind.

The Bordoloi Trophy, also known as the Bharat Ratna Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Trophy, is a premier annual Indian football tournament held in Guwahati and organized by Guwahati Sports Association (GSA). The tournament was first started in 1952 and is named after Assam's first chief minister Gopinath Bordoloi. Apart from some top clubs from India, clubs from Nepal, Bangladesh and Thailand have also participated in this championship. Abahani Limited of Bangladesh lifted the 2010 trophy.

<i>Dwaar</i> 2013 Indian film

Dwaar is a 2013 Indian Assamese drama film directed by Bidyut Chakravarty, with his own screenplay, and produced by Sanjive Narain and Bidyut Chakravarty himself. It was adapted from the Assamese short story Bahiroloi Jowa Baat by Apurba Sarma. Dwaar stars Kapil Bora, Zerifa Wahid and Mahika Sharma in the lead roles. The literal translation of the title means Door.
