This is a list of properties and districts in Indiana that are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. There are over 1,900 in total. Of these, 39 are National Historic Landmarks. Each of Indiana's 92 counties has at least two listings.
The Mansfield Covered Bridge is a Double Burr Arch double span truss bridge located on Mansfield Road (historic) and Big Raccoon Creek in Mansfield southeast of Rockville in Parke County, Indiana. Built by Joseph J. Daniels in 1867 at a cost of $12,200. At 279 ft (85 m) it is the second longest covered bridge left in Parke County. This Historic Site rest on land provided by Luke Moody, of Parke County, Indiana and is open to the public all year.
The first Bridgeton covered bridge was a double-span Burr Arch bridge built in 1868 by a crew led by J. J. Daniels. It was closed to traffic in 1967. It was built to replace two prior open wooden bridges that had fallen in. After its destruction by fire, it was replaced in 2006 by a reproduction.
The McAllister Covered Bridge is a Burr Arch structure that was built by Joseph A. Britton and Son in 1914. It is 144 feet (44 m) long, 16 feet (4.9 m) wide, and 14 feet (4.3 m) high. It is found in Adams Township, Parke County, Indiana, United States.
The Harry Evans Covered Bridge is a single span Burr Arch Truss structure that crosses Rock Run built in 1908 by J.A. Britton 1⁄2 mi (0.80 km) north of Coxville, Indiana USA.
The Jeffries Ford Covered Bridge was southwest of Bridgeton, Indiana, United States. The double-span Burr Arch covered bridge structure was built by J. A. Britton in 1915 and destroyed by arson on April 2, 2002.
The Marshall Covered Bridge is a single span Burr arch truss covered bridge structure that was built by Joseph A. Britton & Son in 1917. The bridge is 74 ft (23 m) long, 15 ft (4.6 m) wide, and 14 ft (4.3 m) high.
The Mecca Covered Bridge crossing Big Raccoon Creek East of Mecca, Indiana is a single span Burr Arch Truss covered bridge structure that was built by J. J. Daniels in 1873. The bridge is 176 feet (54 m) long, 17 feet (5.2 m) wide, and 12.5 feet (3.8 m) high.
The Melcher Covered Bridge, also known as the "Klondyke Covered Bridge", "Marion Covered Bridge", or the "Leatherwood Covered Bridge" crosses Leatherwood Creek east of Montezuma, Indiana, and is a single-span Burr Arch Truss covered bridge structure that was built by Joseph J. Daniels in 1896.
The Phillips Covered Bridge is southeast of Montezuma, Indiana in Parke County, Indiana and crosses Rocky Run, also known as Big Pond Creek. Unlike the rest of the bridges of Parke County, it is a single span King Post bridge structure, having no arches, that was built by Joseph A. Britton in 1909.
The Rush Creek Covered Bridge is south of Tangier, Indiana. The single span Burr Arch covered bridge structure was built by William Hendricks in 1904.
The Sanitorium Covered Bridge is a bridged located east of Rockville, Indiana. The single-span Burr Arch covered bridge structure was built by Joseph A. Britton in 1913.
The Thorpe Ford Covered Bridge is northeast of Rosedale, Indiana. The single span Burr Arch Truss covered bridge structure was built by Joseph A. Britton in 1912.
The West Union Covered Bridge formerly carried Tow Path Road over Sugar Creek north-northeast of Montezuma, Indiana. The two-span Burr Arch Truss covered bridge structure was built by Joseph J. Daniels in 1876. It is notable for being the longest standing covered bridge in Parke County, and one of the nation's best-preserved examples of the Burr truss.
The Wilkins Mill Covered Bridge is north of Rockville, Indiana. The single span Burr Arch Truss covered bridge structure was built by William Hendricks in 1906. The bridge is 120 feet (37 m) long, 16 feet (4.9 m) wide, and 13 feet (4.0 m) high.
The Medora Covered Bridge is the longest covered bridge in the United states with the entire original historic truss still in place with some repairs but no structural changes. Measuring the clear span of 431'10", the Medora Covered Bridge is the longest historic covered bridge in the United States. The roof length of 461' and the siding at the floor length of 459' are also the longest historic covered bridge measurements in the U.S..
Huffman Mill Covered Bridge is a historic covered bridge spanning the Anderson River in Anderson Township, Perry County and Harrison Township, Spencer County, Indiana. It was built in 1864–1865, and is a 148 foot long, Burr arch truss wood, stone, and steel bridge. It is one-lane wide and is covered by a gabled, steel roof.
Westport Covered Bridge is a historic covered bridge located in Sand Creek Township, Decatur County, Indiana. It was built in 1880, and is a single span, Burr arch bridge on limestone abutments. It measures 130 feet long, 16 feet wide and 13 feet high. It is topped by a gable roof and sided with shiplap siding. It has been limited to pedestrian traffic since 1973.
Stockheughter Covered Bridge, also known as Enochsburg Covered Bridge and County Bridge number 73, is a historic Howe Truss covered bridge located in Ray Township, Franklin County, Indiana. The bridge was built in 1891, and measures 101 feet, 10 inches, long, 13 feet high, and 13 feet wide. It has a gable roof and the exterior is clad in board and natten siding.
Brouilletts Creek Covered Bridge, also known as S Hill Covered Bridge and Furnace Road Bridge, was a historic Burr Arch Truss covered bridge located at Clinton, Vermillion County, Indiana. It was built in 1879, and is a single span covered timber bridge. It measured 157 feet long. The bridge was disassembled in 1994 and currently in storage in its entirety for reassembly in the future.
