The Miss Philippines (commonly abbreviated as TMP) is a beauty pageant and a Culture and Heritage organization that selects the Philippines' official representative to other international pageants such as Miss Supranational, Miss Eco International, Miss Aura International, Miss Charm, Miss Eco Teen Miss Asia Pacific International and Miss Cosmo. The reigning The Miss Philippines is Alethea Ambrosio of Bulacan, who was crowned on October 24, 2023, held at Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay. [3]
The Miss Philippines pageant was launched in 2023. The organizers behind the pageant would partner with the Miss Universe Philippines. [4]
In September 2023, TMP announced its partnership with the Miss Asia Pacific International Organization. [4]
The coronation night inaugural edition of The Miss Philippines pageant will not feature the tradition swimsuit competition portion. A Runway Segment featuring the contestants in formal wear will be featured as well as a portion were candidates would make speeches related to Filipino culture and heritage in a way similar to that done on TED Talks. An online poll was also opened with the results accounting for 50 percent of the contestants' final score. [7]

Originally scheduled to be held in 2020, the coronation night of the pageant was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and was rescheduled to July 11, 2021 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines with Catriona Gray and Nicole Cordoves as presenters. Due to the restrictions caused by the disease at the time of the pageant, several health and safety protocols were implemented to ensure the safety of the artists, candidates, crew and organizers of the event.
