A special election was held in the U.S. state of Delaware to elect a new member for District 1 in the Delaware Senate, representing part of northern New Castle County on February 15. The election filled a vacancy caused by the election of incumbent Democrat Sarah McBride to the U.S. House of Representatives. The election took place concurrently with a special election in Senate District 5. [1] Dan Cruce was elected senator with 77.2 percent of the vote.
