Babulal Marandi is an Indian politician of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its Jharkhand unit president. He was the first Chief Minister of Jharkhand and formerly Leader of the Legislature Party of BJP in the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly. He was also the founder and national President of Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik), which he later merged with BJP. He was the Member of Parliament in 12th, 13th 14th and 15th Lok Sabha from Jharkhand. He was the Union State Minister (MoS) for Forests & Environment of India in the BJP – led National Democratic Alliance Government in 1998 to 2000. He was appointed as Jharkhand BJP president on 4 July 2023.

Hemant Soren is an Indian politician from Jharkhand, who is currently serving as Chief Minister of Jharkhand since 4 July 2024. He also served as the 5th Chief Minister of Jharkhand from 2019 to 2024 and from 2013 to 2014. In 2024, he was elected again as 14th Chief Minister of Jharkhand. He is also the working president of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, a political party in Jharkhand. He represents Barhait constituency in the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly since 2014 and has represented Dumka twice — from 2019 to 2020, and from 2009 to 2014. He was also the Deputy Chief Minister of Jharkhand from 2010 to 2013, Leader of the Opposition, Jharkhand Legislative Assembly from 2014 to 2019 and member of Rajya Sabha from Jharkhand, from 2009 to 2010.

Ravindra Kumar Ray is an Indian politician and member of parliament from Koderma constituency, Jharkhand. He won in the Indian general election in 2014 as a Bharatiya Janata Party candidate. He was the Mines and Mineral minister of Jharkhand during Babu Lal Marandi’s government and later became the Cabinet minister of Industry and Labour during the Arjun Munda government. Ravindra Ray played an important role in the formation of Jharkhand and was the first person to propose the idea of having a CM of the MLA’s choice in the state.

Stephen Marandi is an Indian politician from Jharkhand. He is a leader of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and a member of Jharkhand Legislative Assembly. He served as a protem speaker of the fourth Jharkhand Legislative Assembly.

Legislative Assembly elections were held in Jharkhand, India, from 30 November to 20 December 2019 to elect the 81 members of the 5th Jharkhand Legislative Assembly. Results were declared on 23 December 2019. The pre-election term of the Assembly was set to end on 27 December 2019.

The 2019 Karnataka political crisis was a period of political instability when members of the legislative assembly in the Indian State of Karnataka submitted their resignations, which led to the fall of the Congress-JD(S) coalition government in the state.

Ganesh Ganjhu was the member of Jharkhand Legislative Assembly from Simaria. In the 2014 general election, he was elected as MLA of Simaria as Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) candidate. In February 2015, he switched sides and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party with other five MLA's including Randhir Kumar Singh, Amar Kumar Bauri, Janki Prasad Yadav, Alok Kumar Chourasia and Navin Jaiswal from JVM(P).

Bandhu Tirkey is an Indian politician from Jharkhand. He is a former Member of Jharkhand Legislative Assembly from Mandar Assembly constituency representing Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) in 2019.

Gujarat Legislative Assembly or Gujarat Vidhan Sabha is the unicameral legislature of the Indian state of Gujarat, in the state capital Gandhinagar. Presently, 182 members of the Legislative Assembly are directly elected from single-member constituencies (seats). It has a term of 5 years unless it is dissolved sooner. 13 constituencies are reserved for scheduled castes and 27 constituencies for scheduled tribes. From its majority party group or by way of a grand coalition cabinet of its prominent members, the state's Executive namely the Government of Gujarat is formed.

Hemant Soren, incumbent Chief Minister of Jharkhand has appointed again in the office after winning the assembly elections in November 2024. The ministry will probably consist of maximum 12 members. Governor Santosh Gangwar administered the oath of office and secrecy to him on 28 November 2024 in Ranchi.
