Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone Limited (popularly known as AMTZ) is an enterprise under the Government of Andhra Pradesh to promote medical device manufacturing in India. AMTZ's foundation was laid on Aug 19, 2016 [2] and inaugurated by N. Chandrababu Naidu then chief minister of Andhra Pradesh on Dec 13, 2018 . [3]

Medical device regulatory facilitation

Directorate of radiation safety

Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) signed an MOU with the Government of Andhra Pradesh to set up Directorate of Radiation Safety at AMTZ to regulate the functioning of diagnostic radiology facilities utilising X-ray units. Once fully functional, this Directorate may extend its services to neighbouring states also.

As of January 2018, there are 1536 registered and 2140 unregistered medical diagnostic X-ray equipment; 169 licensed and 319 unlicensed Computed Tomography (CT)/ Cath X-ray equipment in Andhra Pradesh).

The DRS in AMTZ would help the owners/users of medical diagnostic X-ray equipment placed in hospitals /medical image centres of the state of Andhra Pradesh in complying with Radiation Safety Standards and in obtaining licence/ registration from AERV at the earliest.

The DRS at AMTZ facilitates to obtain type approval certificate from AERB. The facility once fully operational would be a great boon to the industry as it can reduce the time for testing with a low testing service charge for the product, leading to the reduction in costs and gain market access. Separately, AMTZ is also in the process of creating a regulatory structure for the non-ionising radiation equipment, in consultation with the Ministry of Electronics and IT.

Medical device experience center

Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ) partnered with Medikabazaar, India's largest and pioneering online B2B platform for medical supplies and established India's first Medical Device Experience Center.

Awards and recognition

On 14 February 2017, AMTZ was awarded as "Innovative Medtech Zone" by the World Health & Wellness Congress. [6]

On 27 February 2017, AMTZ was included in the list of 25 fastest growing medical technology companies in India in 2017 by The CEO magazine. [7]

Nara Chandrababu Naidu(listen), is an Indian politician and the leader of opposition in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly. Polavaram Project dam in Polavaram, West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh

Polavaram Project, is an under construction multi-purpose National project on the Godavari River in the West Godavari District and East Godavari District in Andhra Pradesh. The project has been accorded national project status by the Union Government of India and will be the last to be accorded the status. It's reservoir back water spreads up to the Dummugudem Anicut i.e. approx 150 km back form Polavaram Spillway on main river side and approx 115 km in Sabari River side.It is located 40 km to the upstream of Sir Arthur Cotton Barrage in Rajamahendravaram City. Thus back water spreads into parts of Chhattisgarh and Odisha States. It gives major boost to tourism sector in Godavari Districts as the reservoir covers the famous Papikonda National Park, Polavaram Hydro electric project(HEP) and National waterway 4 are in under construction at left side of the river.

Jana Sena Party Indian political party

Jana Sena or Jana Sena Party (JSP) is an Indian Regional political party based in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, India. It was founded by actor and politician Pawan Kalyan on 14 March 2014. Jana Sena means "People's Army" in Telugu. The motto of the party is "fight for the rights of each and every common person".

The Veligonda Project is an irrigation project located in Markapur, Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh, India. When completed, the project will provide irrigational facilities to 459,000 acres and drinking water to 1.5 million people in 29 Mandals of fluoride and drought affected areas in Prakasam district, Nellore district and Kadapa district by diverting 43.5 TMC of floodwater from the Krishna River from foreshore of Srisailam Reservoir near Kollamvagu and proposed to store in Nallamalasagar Reservoir. The water for the project is drawn through two 18.8 km long tunnels across Nallamala hills. The project has been renamed to the 'Poola Subbaiah Irrigation Project'.

Amaravati Capital City of Andhra Pradesh in India

Amaravati is the state capital of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, and the primary city of the state's Capital Region. Built on allotted space on the southern banks of Krishna River in Guntur district selected close to the geographical center of the state. Amaravati is a recently constructed planned city. The city was constructed to serve as Andhra Pradesh's new capital after Telangana was split off as a separate state in 2014. The former Andhraite capital, Hyderabad, is now the capital of Telangana.

Bhogapuram Airport, a Greenfield international airport project will be built near Bhogapuram at Vizianagaram district, 40 kilometers north-east of Visakhapatnam, India. The Bhogapuram Airport's foundation was laid by N. Chandrababu Naidu, then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on 14 February 2019 with initial planning of developing the Mega Aerotropolis with estimating land of 5,311 acres, comprising Bhogapuram Airport, cargo facilities, MRO facility and an aviation academy. And Airport development will feature facilities capable of handling Airbus A380 aircraft. while the N. Chandrababu Naidu government has finally acquired of total 2,703 acres of land because of land agitation from locals, including 1,673 acres of government land alloted for the new international airport project. But the next successive government fixed only 2,200 acres to GMR Group and reduce the land for the purpose while keeping aside of the 500 acres land under the control of state government with no official reasons mentioned and The airport will be constructed on a final 2,200 acres site in and around Bhogapuram that serves Visakhapatnam city and will be built by the Bhogapuram International Airport Company Limited (BIACL), a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) owned by the government that was set up in May 2015. The Project will be taken up in the Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode with the state holding stake in the form of land holdings.

Machilipatnam Port is a proposed deep sea port on the coast of Bay of Bengal. It is located at Machilipatnam, the District Headquarters of Krishna district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Fintech Valley Vizag business initiative of the Government of Andhra Pradesh, India

Fintech Valley Vizag is an initiative of the Government of Andhra Pradesh to promote business infrastructure in the state, and attract investors and multinational corporations to set up offices. Fintech Valley was founded by N. Chandrababu Naidu then Chief Minister of the Andhra Pradesh state in December 2016 with the goal of enhancing Visakhapatnam City as a financial technology capital in Andhra Pradesh.

Andhra Pradesh State FiberNet Limited

The Andhra Pradesh State FiberNet Limited (APSFL) is a project initiated in October 2015 to provide on demand, affordable and end-to-end broadband connectivity of 15 to 50 Mbit/s for all households and 1 to 10 Gbit/s for all institutions and multi-dwelling units by 2018. Its was a ambitious project of N. Chandrababu Naidu to connect every household & provide cable television, phone and high speed internet at low cost and was launched by President of India on 27 DEC 2017 in an ceremony conducted in the capital city of Amaravati. It is completely owned by Government of Andhra Pradesh but works under partnership with Cisco Systems.

2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election Elections for the Legislative Assembly of Andhra Pradesh

The 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections were held in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh on 11 April 2019 for constituting the fifteenth Legislative Assembly in the state. They were held alongside the 2019 Indian general election.

TU 142 Aircraft Museum Aviation museum, Transport museum in Pandurangapuram, Visakhapatnam

TU 142 Aircraft Museum is also called as TU-142 Aircraft Museum or Aircraft Museum is a preserved Tupolev Tu-142 located in Visakhapatnam, in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The TU-142 Aircraft Museum was laid foundation by N. Chandrababu Naidu in October 2017 and it was formally inaugurated by President of India Ram Nath Kovind in December 2017

The Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Smriti Vanam or the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Memorial Park is a monument under-construction dedicated to B. R. Ambedkar, the 20th century Indian polymath, champion of human rights and the father of the Indian Constitution. The memorial will be located at Inavolu village in Thullur mandal, Amaravati in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The height of the statue of Ambedkar will be 125 feet (38 m). The foundation stone of the memorial was laid by N. Chandrababu Naidu, the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh on Ambedkar Jayanti, 14 April 2017.

Kalam Institute of Health Technology

Kalam Institute of Health Technology or KIHT is a Government of India project supported by the Department of Biotechnology. The institution established in July 2017 is named in honour of A. P. J. Abdul Kalam and is located at Visakhapatnam within the campus of Andhra Pradesh Medtech Zone. The institute was established under Make in India Government programme.

Bhudhaar is a e-governance project that is intended to assign a 11 digit unique number to every land parcel in the state of Andhra Pradesh as part of the "land hub in E-Pragati programme". Bhudhaar is the first in India to address issues in land record management. Bhuseva Authority, an inter-departmental committee was formulated to implement and monitor the progress. Eventually all land related transactions will use Bhudhaar as single source of truth to reduces land related disputes. On 18 February 2019, the Andhra pradesh Assembly gave its consent to the legal usage of the Bhudhaar Number in land documents. This project is being regularly monitored by AP CM Dashboard which was developed and managed by Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) in real time basis.

Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) is an Indian e-governance initiative of chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu from Andhra Pradesh, India. It was formed on 6 September 2017. The department reports to the chief minister.

The Core Dashboard is aggregator of the information generating from various departments and displayed on a single screen. It was conceived by former Chief minister of Andhra Pradesh Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu and is the first platform of this kind in India. Different state governments in India have approached the AP Govt and launched their kind of dashboards in their states. It is being develop and managing by Real Time Governance Society (RTGS), a special department created to look after operations of RTGS state control center.

Millennium IT Towers is an information technology (IT) park situated in the city of Visakhapatnam, India. It was set up for the growth of information technology and as an initiative in making Visakhapatnam city as a Financial-tech (Fintech) Capital in the state of Andhra Pradesh by the APIIC and Government of Andhra Pradesh and it was inaugurated by then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Nara Chandrababu Naidu on 15 February 2019

The 2019–20 Amaravati protests also known as Amaravati protests, are ongoing demonstrations in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh triggered by the idea of three capitals by Government of Andhra Pradesh, and the Expert panel, BCG committee reports. The demonstrations are against the Andhra Pradesh Decentralisation and Inclusive Development of All Regions Bill, 2020, if enacted would have allowed to establish three capitals at different locations of the state. This led to concerns that the decision would create chaos and insecurity fears for farmers who gave their fertile agricultural lands to the government in 29 villages of Guntur and Krishna districts. The protests began in Mandadam, Thullur, Uddandarayunipalem on 18 December 2019. In a few days, the protests spread across Andhra Pradesh Capital Region, in Andhra Pradesh.

Gollapalli Reservoir is an irrigation project located in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh, India. It receives water from Handri-Neeva canal which draws water from Srisailam reservoir. It is located at Gollapalli village in Penukonda Constituency.
