Boonooroo Plains is a rural locality in the Fraser Coast Region, Queensland, Australia. [2] In the 2021 census, Boonooroo Plains had "no people or a very low population". [1]
Most of the centre and south of the locality is within Poona National Park. [3] It consists of low-lying coast plains with a variety of shorebirds including the threatened eastern curlew (Numenius madagascariensis) and endangered little tern. [4]
Poona National Park was gazetted in 1994. [5]
