Burgowan is a rural locality in the Fraser Coast Region, Queensland, Australia. [2] In the 2021 census, Burgowan had a population of 56 people. [1]
The North Coast railway line enters the locality from the south-east (Walliebum), runs close and parallel to the locality's south-western boundary, and then exits to the west (Torbanlea). [3] The locality is served by Colton railway station in the southernmost part of the locality ( 25°25′31″S152°39′05″E / 25.4252°S 152.6513°E ). [4]
The Burgowan Wastewater Treatment Plant opened in 2006. [5]
