Downtown Mountain View Station is an intermodal passenger transportation station that serves the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority light rail system, Caltrain commuter rail line, and numerous bus and shuttle routes. Downtown Mountain View is the northern terminus of the Mountain View-Winchester light rail line. The station house was rebuilt, in the early 2000s, [2] using the style of a station house type (SP#18) built by the Southern Pacific in 1888. [3]

Caltrain is a California commuter rail line on the San Francisco Peninsula and in the Santa Clara Valley. The northern terminus of the line is in San Francisco at 4th and King streets; its southern terminus is in Gilroy. Trains leave San Francisco and San Jose hourly during middays, and every 90 minutes during weekends, with limited stop service during rush hour running every 20 minutes, and "Baby Bullet" express service running every 30 minutes. Extra trains are often run for special events held in AT&T Park in San Francisco, Stanford Stadium in Palo Alto, and SAP Center in San Jose. Caltrain operates 92 weekday trains, 6 of which are extended to Gilroy. Weekday ridership in February 2018 averaged 65,095.
Alum Rock–Santa Teresa is a light rail route operated by Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA). The Alum Rock–Santa Teresa route is one of three existing VTA light rail routes. The other two light rail routes are the Mountain View–Winchester line and the Ohlone/Chynoweth–Almaden line. On system maps, the line is represented as the Blue Line, however VTA primarily uses its name and Line 901 in their documents.

Gish is a light rail station operated by Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority. The station is located in San Jose, California, United States in the center median of 1st Street near Gish Street. The station has a split platform. The northbound platform is located just north of Gish Street, while the southbound platform is located just south of it. Gish is served by both the Alum Rock–Santa Teresa and Mountain View–Winchester light rail lines.
Tamien is an intermodal passenger transportation station in San Jose, California served by the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) light rail system, two bus routes, and the Caltrain commuter rail line. The station has two elevated island platforms, one for each service. The two platforms are connected by a walkway at ground-level that is below the two platforms. The light rail platform is located in the center median of the State Route 87 freeway just north of the Alma Avenue overpass. The Caltrain platform is located between Lick Avenue and State Route 87, just north of Alma Avenue.
Ohlone/Chynoweth–Almaden is a short light rail route operated by Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) in southern San Jose, California, with three stops. Service into the Almaden Valley is also provided by VTA bus route 13, which also entirely duplicates the light rail service. VTA has proposed to end service on the Ohlone/Chynoweth–Almaden line in late 2019.
The Santa Clara Depot is one of two heavy railway stations in Santa Clara, California. It is served by the Caltrain from San Francisco, and is served by the Altamont Corridor Express (ACE) from Stockton although this service was previously suspended from 2005 until 2012 due to track construction in the area. This station is the planned terminal for the Silicon Valley BART extension into Santa Clara County and will be preceded by Diridon/Arena BART station with direct service to San Francisco/Daly City and Richmond.
Palo Alto station is an intermodal transit center located in Palo Alto, California. It is served by Caltrain regional rail service, SamTrans and Santa Clara VTA local bus service, Dumbarton Express regional bus service, the Stanford University Marguerite Shuttle, and several local shuttle services. Palo Alto is the second-busiest Caltrain station after San Francisco, averaging 7,764 weekday boardings by a 2018 count. The Caltrain station has two side platforms serving the two tracks of the Peninsula Subdivision, while the bus transfer plaza is located nearby.
Gilroy is a Caltrain station located in Gilroy, California. It is the southernmost terminus of the Caltrain system, and is only served during commute hours on weekdays. The station building was constructed by the Southern Pacific Railroad in 1913 and restored in 1998. Future plans call for extended Amtrak Capitol Corridor service to also stop at Gilroy.
VTA Light Rail is a light rail system serving San Jose, California and its suburbs in Silicon Valley. It is operated by the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority, or VTA, and consists of 42.2 miles (67.9 km) of network comprising two main lines and a spur line on standard gauge tracks. Originally opened in 1987, the light rail system has gradually expanded since then, and currently has 62 light rail stations in operation on the three lines. VTA operates a fleet of 99 Kinki Sharyo Low Floor Light Rail Vehicles (LFLRV) to service its passengers. The system's average weekday daily ridership as of Q3 2018 is 28,800 passengers; the greatest daily average recorded over a month was 37,536 in June 2008.
The Highway 17 Express is an Amtrak Thruway Motorcoach route provided by a consortium of entities that provides regional service between San Jose and Santa Cruz County in the South Bay of the San Francisco Bay Area. The service is so called because it travels on California State Route 17. It is operated by the Santa Cruz Metropolitan Transit District.
Evelyn Light Rail Station was a station on the Mountain View–Winchester Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) Light Rail Line. It closed on March 16, 2015, and was demolished to make room for a second track along the Mountain View–Winchester line.
