Hang Tuah Jaya Municipal Council (Malay : Majlis Perbandaran Hang Tuah Jaya, MPHTJ) is the local authority which administers Hang Tuah Jaya, a municipality covering an area of 145.5886 square kilometres (35,975.7 acres) [1] and consists of the northern part of Melaka Tengah District, the western part of Jasin District and the southeastern part of Alor Gajah District in Malacca, Malaysia.
Like all local governments in Malaysia, MPHTJ are responsible for public health and sanitation, waste removal and management, town planning, environmental protection and building control, social and economic development and general maintenance functions of the town's urban infrastructure. The MPHTJ main headquarters is located at Melaka Mall (formerly known as Kotamas) in Ayer Keroh, Hang Tuah Jaya, opposite the headquarters of Malacca City Council along Lebuh Ayer Keroh.
Hang Tuah Jaya Municipal Council was established under Section 3 of the Local Government Act 1976, (Act 171) as the Local Authority of Hang Tuah Jaya and began operations on 1 January 2010. [2]

Lebuh Ayer Keroh, Federal Route 143, also known as Lebuhraya Ayer Keroh or Ayer Keroh Avenue, is the main dual-carriageway highway that connects Malacca City of Malacca, Malaysia to the North–South Expressway via Ayer Keroh Interchange. Ayer Keroh, the main satellite town of Malacca City is located along the road. Lebuh Ayer Keroh used to be State Motorway M31 before being recommissioned by Malaysian Public Works Department (Jabatan Kerja Raya ). Before 1993, most of the road was a two-lane road before it was upgraded to a dual-carriageway in 1993 and in 1997.

Melaka Aerorail is a proposed monorail line to be constructed in Malacca City. It will be constructed in two phases, 9.5 km for the first one with another at 8.7 km. The cost of construction is expected to be around RM1.8 Billion. If it is successful, it will be the first aerorail network in Malaysia and Asia. Melaka Planetarium, officially Melaka Planetarium Adventure Science Centre, is a planetarium located at Melaka International Trade Centre business district in the town of Ayer Keroh, in the Malaysian state of Malacca. It was officiated by Malacca State Chief Minister Mohd Ali Rustam on 10 August 2009, and is the second planetarium in the state after the Al-Khawarizmi Astronomy Complex in Masjid Tanah. The planetarium features Islamic architecture and a landing UFO, costing MYR20 million to be built over an area of 0.7 hectares and 3 floors. It consists of four sections, which are astronomy, outer space, simulation, and physics, and exhibits the magnificent cosmos, history of astronomy and astronomers and also various other attractions.

Taman Bunga Merdeka originally known as the Coronation Park is a public park in Malacca City, Malacca, Malaysia. Located along Jalan Kota and facing the People's Museum and other museums, it is one of few parks in the city center. It was built by the British in 1953 and named to memorialise the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, when the park still fronted on the sea. The park is part of a UNESCO World Heritage-recognized historic district, the Historic Cities of the Straits of Malacca listing.
