Teluk Intan Municipal Council (Malay : Majlis Perbandaran Teluk Intan), formerly known as the Hilir Perak District Council (Malay : Majlis Daerah Hilir Perak) from 1 December 1979 until 22 April 2003, is the local authority which administers Teluk Intan, the capital of Hilir Perak District. This agency is under the purview of Perak state government.

Teluk Intan is a town in Hilir Perak District, Perak, Malaysia. It is the district capital, the largest town in the district and fourth largest town in the state of Perak with an estimated population of around 172,505, more than half of Hilir Perak district's total population (232,900).

The Sultan Yusuf Bridge is the main bridge in Hilir Perak District, Perak, Malaysia. It is located on West Coast Expressway and Federal Route 5 crossing Perak River between Batak Rabit and Kota Setia. It is the third longest river bridge in Malaysia and was named after the 32nd Sultan of Perak, Almarhum Sultan Yusuf Izzuddin Shah Ghafarulahu-Lah.

The Tapah Road railway station is a Malaysian railway station stationed at the north eastern side of and named after the town of Tapah Road, Perak. The station is owned by Keretapi Tanah Melayu and provides KTM ETS services. At one end of this station, there is a freight yard. It was made prior to the Rawang-Ipoh Electrified Double Tracking Project.

It is 25 m (82 ft) and, from the outside, looks like an eight storey building, though inside it is actually divided into three storeys.

Teluk Intan Hospital is a hospital in Teluk Intan, Hilir Perak District, Perak, Malaysia. It was built to serve the residents around the Hilir Perak, which covers an area of about 667 square miles (1,730 km2) and it has 548 beds.

Raja Nazhatul Shima binti Almarhum Sultan Idris A’fifullah Shah is a member of the Perak royal family who is the Raja Puan Besar of Perak as the wife of Raja Jaafar, the Raja Muda of Perak. Affectionately known as Ku Dottie, she is the first child and eldest daughter of the late Sultan Idris Al-Mutawakil Alallahi Shah of Perak and the late Raja Perempuan Muzwin.
